What I love about people in this generation is that they are completely shattering traditional ways of life. This is what happens when you are allowed to paint outside the box at a young age. We now see that anything and everything is possible. I am not a jealous person, but I can admit I'm happily jealous of Sarah and Brandon's living arrangement. That being said, a win for one is a win for all! Bravo to you both. Thank you for the inspiration to all of us viewers :)

Well, actually it's not a generational thing at all. It just appears as if these things are more prevalent today due to social media and all the DIY TV shows out there. In fact, all the great ideas for solar and wind powered homes and off grid living in general actually fist came about in the 1970’s. And floating homes on both lakes and oceans have been around for a very long time indeed. There were also plenty of people living in vans way back when and the only difference between then and now is that back then you could not start a CZcams channel about your life in a van and make a lot of money off it. The bottom line is that while people have actually been doing stuff like this forever, it is only in the past 20 years or so that we have been exposed to their lives through social media and the like.

@@SLOBeachboyYou're right. This is nothing new and has nothing to do with this generation. Sharing it on social media is. Look at some old National Geographic magazines and you'll see all this and more from all over the world.
Not taking anything away from these two youngsters, but my generation was the forerunner for any/all ‘painting outside the box,’ thank you very much. 😊
If you don't follow Sarah and Brandon on their channel, you don't know what you're missing. They are hardworking and so much fun to watch. Brandon is hilarious but most importantly he is humble. Go check out their yearly lake clean up that Brandon oversees. So glad they were featured again in this new build.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this home. Beautiful design, gorgeous kitchen sink, great paint job, loving the hexagonal window, the vanity nook is cute, the scenery is stunning, and Iko is the cutest pup.

The first time they were featured I was hooked by these two and now I watch every episode they do I agree Sarah and Brandon and Iko are definitely worth everyone's time they are awesome.
Brandon and Sarah...such an inspirational couple whose minds and hearts are always focused on the bigger picture of helping their neighbors, their community, and the environment. This was a great tour of their slice-of-heaven home.
1 dollar a gallon and you pump out 300 gallons a week = 300 dollars a week thats 1200 dollars a month that you just pushed over to the average tax payers a living expanse they should be taking themself based on their own choices of living on a floating home .. Yes must be nice to just push your living cost over to some other ppl. taxes..

What a beautiful home! I don’t think I would be able to leave it if I lived there. There isn’t a single thing I would change which is something to say. It’s not unusual for me to comment on a house and then add a “but” in there. I guess I could say I would add at least one more solar panel. Maybe 2 to help reduce the draw from the washer. But it’s not necessary…such a peaceful place and the chairs out front would definitely be a favorite spot. Love hanging chairs! You both did an excellent job. One last thing-LOVE that copper sink! That is amazing. God bless their home!

Have you ever considered travelling without that sweet dog, we are in our 60's and after a trip to mexico, and a trip on the rivers in england we will be done. We are used to lake Ont in waupoos we are happy to come and meet him on your time we are excelllent chefs and love the sparkles on the ceiling and the wind and storms coming across the water!
Fontana lake is absolutely beautiful ! I love it there ! If I see yall I will tell my hubby to slow the boat down so not to sends waves towards your awesome home lol ...

I would need to have a rail around the upstairs loft to prevent falling off the edge. This would be important to guests who might forget where they are

Suggestion: you can build simple racks / shelves against the tiny house and plant whatever veggies, etc and save on grocery bills. Hope it helps. :)

Your channel is beautiful because you do your work from the heart and it is felt immediately from the first minutes of each video! All your new stories inspire something new and limitless in your life, and the examples of these people with their houses show that everyone can make childhood dreams a reality! Usually it's not that difficult, but the main thing is that the desire is as strong as a dream in your heart and mind, which can become a reality and inspire many others in the CZcams community! I sincerely thank the author of the channel and the people with big hearts who are not ashamed to dream no matter what, and inspire such a large number of people. You dont get Sea sick! Wow I would be so sick of the rocking. Im one of those that motion gets me and I cant even watch someone swinging otherwise I get nauseas. Yes it ay be a mind thing but I was always a kid who needed a bag or pail in the car, poor parents if mine, but that IS SUCH A Gorgeous Home you two. Great Job!!Sending you many blessings too! This would be great!?!!! There is a large lake near me and have thought why don’t people live like this??? But then every inch of land is developed and with the skidoos and motor boats running helter skelter you would not get one second of peace.

I would love this, but wouldn’t do it until my toddlers grew up & could swim. I would love to hear their plan when a storm is a brewing. Do they secure their house with extra moorings and then leave and go to some shelter somewhere? Just curious?

Love Iko, and what alot do know about the breed unlike others is they are very adaptable to living in tiny apartments to boats etc, they are a low barking, low noise dogs, but energy wise when they wanna go heads up lol, but before I get diareah of the mouth about Iko lol, love the new build just curious of where your located if the lake ever freezes up in winter months and how do deal with it thanks, and btw chi chi our rescue is waving a paw lol
