- Learn how you can turn On Text to Speech Read Aloud on the Android or Samsung Phone with this latest 2022 method.
If you would like to have text read aloud on the phone, then you would have to use a feature called Select to Speak, it will allow you to select the text then the phone will use the Text to speech engine to read out loud text for you. Great if you need to study or simply don't want to read the text yourself.

Oh my god, why is it so hard to find a clear explanation of how to do this? You're a HERO.
And why doesn't it just come installed on androids to begin with 🥲
@@nellisthegreySee my instructions thank me later😖
See my instructions above, thanke me later
Agreed!! Very hard to find a clear explanation, Thank You.....
Nope, it's a scam to steal your information
My husband had a stroke. This helped sooo much. He Hayes asking me to read his messages. Now he can just hear them. Ty for this
Finally a video that actually show how to use Text-to-Speech. Thank you, this is a great video.
This is not just the only video explaining this. It's also the source of actual clear explanation.
Thank you so much, my dude.
This is the one thing I miss about iPhone. This is too complicated and gets in the way. On iPhone you just highlight text and press speak. Why cant Android do this?
I know right?
OMG!!! 😂 R U kidding???
Right?!?
If you hate it so much switch back to iphone 🙄🤷♂️😒
@@lordllama7815 There's pretty much nothing about iPhone that is better except for this
Thank you, thank you! I almost purchased a Kindle Fire just to get text to speech. Most of the videos for this are from years ago and don't show how to do it on a newer Samsung. You just saved me over $250. I so appreciate this.
Doesn't work for the documents added to Kindle
The Kindle Fire doesn’t have Text to speech, you might want to get an iPhone or an iPad
@@josemanuellastra2488now why would I go buy any 'i' device if I own a Samsung Android? This video is about how to get it on a Samsung Android.
Thank you very much for this tutorial! You're The Man! I have low vision, so I desperately need this feature on my new phone. i spoke to 2 Samsung and neither of them seemed to know about this app. Thank agin for your clear and concise video.
Thank you for this. Just set this up on my daughters phone , it has helped her so much. Thanks !
You are a lifesaver! For an accessibility feature, they sure make it as difficult as possible to enable!
Thank you so much! This is how instruction videos should be!
Thank you. I was almost in tears trying to get this to work. (Using the S Pen to activate the selection box / area is very frustrating. I recommend using your finger on mobile devices instead.)
Perfect. I can now have my kindle books read out aloud on my android. Thank you 😊
You are good teacher an guide.
Thank you so much ❤❤❤ study game has become much more easier now ....i can hear the text without having to put strain on my eyes
Amazing so many parts i missed to this feature. I've wanted to know how to do this since my nexus 4
Many thanks for a helpful and succinct guide! I have one question. I would like to use it to read out loud a Kindle file/book.
It will certainly read any individual page perfectly. As you show, it's also able to select within the page, what you want it to read.
I think there is a button >| that takes you to the next page, which is good
But, what I'm after is a way to make it continually turn the pages, without any physical intervention from me?
I like to use Audible at night, and if I could find a way to make the Text to Speech function in the same fashion, that'd be great!
Have you any thoughts? My phone is a Samsung S23 Ultra.
Many thanks, in anticipation, Philip (UK)
Thank you for this video. It truly was helpful. It pretty much does what I need it to do if I'm in a situation where I can't look at my phone, but need to "read" it. Thanks again.
Finally what i was looking for! Thank you!!
Thank you for this video it saved me from installing an app that I now do not need.
Just to the point video
Thanks
Thanks again...😅 I got a new phone again, and I needed your video for the 5th time to help set this up. ❤ I can not live without it.
Thank you this video really helped me understand what to do
I did not know you could skip backwards and forward thank you so much
Words cannot represent my thanks to you, i have try many efforts to learn this until I saw your video, thanks😊
This is so cool. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much! I was struggling trying to find this!
This is fantastic! I've been looking for this feature for a long time. Thank you very much!!!
Thank you so much this helps with dyslexia
Awesome, you made it so easy for me!!! Thank you!
Great work ! Thank you very much
Thank you, man. That helped a lot.
Thanks for this video. Very useful.
Omg thank you so much I really needed this
Thank you so much for this! I was considering switching to apple bc of this feature but now that i found out how to do it on samsung i am so excited!
Thanks. Will it scroll page and read the entire article instead of what's viewable on the screen?
thank you very much for this
Thank you so much for this information❤!
Thank you very much. I don't have some of the things you have though. Don't have the settings button on my select to speech.
Glad it helped
Thank thank thank!! I was having a hard time Figuring it out with my new phone. And all I kept running into. Is that talk speed which was horrible.
Thank you for the great video 🙏
Thank you so much, you saved me a lot of effort
Thank you so much sir
7:47 pm...Dude Thank you so much you have no idea how much you helped me!!!...Happy New Year!!!
Thanks!!
Okay, but is there a way to get it to continue reading the rest of the webpage without having to scroll down? I'm looking for a app that will read my online novels to me without needing to touch my phone. Other apps cost money or have a subscription, I'd be fine if it was a one time payment but I don't have the money for a subscription.
Thank u so much 💓
That was great content thank you
You are the best
Made my day
In 2023
God bless you
Thanks alot sir
I would like an app that reads the full document. No need to turn pages or adjust the screen.
But this was very helpful. Thanks 😇 🙏🏾 😊
Instead of Select to speak
Thank you brother 🙏
Thanks bro. 👊
Thank you so much❤
wow... this is an insane amount of effort for something that should be a toggle button
There is no select to speak, searched through my s21...isn't there:/
Thank you
Nice and informative
Thanks bro ❤
thank you for your knowledge. one question I need the option to read multiple pages that are available without having to restart the app on each page. How do I set the app so that it continuously reads from one page to the next page and so on?
I'm not sure that is an option I've tried everything myself. At least I don't have to read so much now. Lol
It's so annoying. Apple has this as an automatic feature but it's so hard to get Android to do it
Thanks man
Is there a way to automatically recognize languages and switch the voice accordingly?
Thanks for the video very useful
doesn’t work right in my Huawei M5 light tablet, it makes large pauses while reading a long Web article. How do I fix it? Thank you and I keep aware to your reply
Tysm!!
Thanks!
Thankyou👍
How can I do it in a better way?
I want to select a text or a tweet and have it read for me.
Not this method.
Just like when you click on a text and drop down menu shows you an option to translate
Tnq
Do we know if there's a way to make it read more than just what's visible on the screen? As in, read an entire note?
Yes I want same
Thanks
It doesn't read words on an opened pdf document. Only reads things you gave types or are on the internet
Thank u
What phone is this? Looking for one for my son who needs TTS.
Thank you so much man!!
Subscribed.
you are an angel
it doesn't exist from setting
I don't want it to read everything can it be set just to read text messages
Very useful, thanks. 🙏
Please help I'm desperately trying to get the select to speak floating icon to be smaller I had it like this on this phone previously and I screwed it up can anybody please help me fix it
Thank you!!!
Thank you. This helped for my tablet and phone. So wish it would do the same for my computer. I have to touch the down arrow button to continue all the time. Thank YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST.
So dumb that Google assistant won't just read text. So much more natural speech
Agree, what a pity
I don’t have this on installed apps can you help me out with that
See in ‘’Accessibility” -> look under “Services” to find “Select to Speak” and switch it on.
On my phone, Installed Apps was cut out and Select to Speak was just under Services so maybe it’s the same for your phone.
I did What you said but it's not working on my or is 23 ultra. It won't read any other text for me.
Thak
I was putting a new SIM card into my Samsung galaxy and I made a mistake and then I put the sim in without the tray and now it is stuck,if there is anything anyone can give me some advice to fix the problem I would be so much grateful as I need it for work, many thanks John 😢
How do you turn up the volume
I am opening a PDF. And, its just saying the first word and stopper
works!
how can I listen pdf file?
Bro I could KISS you! 😂 Thanks!
I'm sure he wouldn't mind that either
10000000000%
I turned on text to speech, but when I click the accessibility button it comes up with other options but nothing to start playing text to speech. 😮💨
Sane
I want to DISABLE Text to Speach on my S23 and it's impossible to KEEP IT OFF - first they said hold both volume buttons for 3 seconds. Then after a few minutes it goes right back to sounding out every Effing word I am BEYOND pissed about this.
Why can't I get it to read a PDF?
I don't see anywhere in this introductory that it will read your text messages out loud. That is what I'm looking for to read my incoming text messages?
Can’t Google Assistant read you all your messages?
Does this work for WhatsApp? Ty
thank uuuuuuu
There is no option to read selected text?
Is there any way to turn off the green word box? I find it to be very distracting!
Thrte id better SIMPLE way
At bottom pf any screen press the middle square button for 3 seconds to activate Assistant.
Then just say READ ALOUD
Try it. Also on some phones above bole nutton there is assistant buyton, and on dome phones pressing power button twice brings on assistant
Thanks. Works great for web pages but I was trying to read my Google notes.
But wait. The phone itself has a text to speech setting. How does one use _that_? That's the real question. What is the setting for if you have to get an additional app?
Wow , I just saw your comment and type text on the phone setting search and it popped up , but I don't know how to use it😂😂
I'm confused
