- My honest review of Wild natural deodorant after trying it for over a year. This review covers more than the product itself but a deep dive into their sustainability credentials. Let me know in the comments if you have tried Wild deodorant and what your experience has been đ
Full disclosure, I was gifted this product over a year ago. This content is not in partnership with the brand, and these are my very real experiences.

I really wanted this to work to justify the price per oz. I have used natural deodorant for a year without having to detox. I use baking soda free due to sensitivity. The scents are great. It's not super strong as to not over power my fragrance. I almost got a full day of coverage. Which is surprising, given the number of ingredients. I have used homemade Etsy deo's with 5 ingredients that last 2 days. Maybe if they used probiotics? Very bummed it didn't work well.
I have used natural deodorants for years. They either work or not meaning I will smell my sweat or not. But Wild deodorant does something strange, It changes it's own smell after few hour to very unpleasant one, and it's not the sweat smell, it's the deodorant itself that starts smelling off. I can still smell that strange odour on my t-shirts even after washing them. I wonder if anyone got similar experience with it.
Thanks for the video! Same here, I REALLY want to like it, love the smells, but feel it doesn't do a great job on me once it gets warmer đź
Ordered *Fussy, excited to compare! Thanks also for the recommendation đž
let me know how you get on with Fussy!
I am hoping that I am not going to have an allergic reaction to this one. I had to start making my own a few years ago because everything I tried I would break out on. But thank you for this great review. It basically lets me know not to get my hopes up and to make sure I have the shea butter, and other items I need to make my own again.
This is such a helpful review! I'd used kutis natural deodorant for years but found the cardboard casing would deteriorate after a while making it difficult to use so I switched to Wild after seeing lot's of hype! I was disappointed by the amount of plastic inside the casing and also found replacing the deodorant really tricky (so glad you highlighted this as i thought it was just me đ). I kind of feel a bit stuck with it now I've got the case as it seems wasteful to stop using it. What is the fussy deodorant casing made from? Thanks đ
I would defo keep using it if it works for you! Thatâs the most susty option. The fussy case is made 100% from recycled plastic - not ideal but itâs all one material so would be easier to recycle at end of life.
I read that the new refills also work with the old case which is always a good thing! :)
Yes this is true! They couldnât have done it any other way without replacing everyoneâs case
Great review! I've been using Wild for a few months now and am at the point of giving up as it just doesn't work for me. I've made my own deodorant so I'm going to give it a go :)
So sorry to hear this. Let me know how your homemade one goes but also definitely try an armpit detox too to see if it helps. If you donât want to make your own/it doesnât work, I really recommend Fussy or AKT!
I have tried a few different types of natural deodorants and they all work well for me, but I don't tend to sweat much at all. The majority of the time I don't wear deodorant, but if I am going to be doing a lot of physical activity I do go for it. Then on the other end of the spectrum my wife sweats a ton and natural deodorants just do not work for her. Just goes to show how varied human bodies can be!
This sounds like my partner and me! He barely sweats and only wears deo on special occasions đ Wild works for him so Iâm lucky it wonât go to waste. If your wife anything like me a really recommend trying Fussy. I was getting frustrated but this one works wonders. You just have to accept that human bodies sweat but I donât want to be stinky đ„č
I found it really made my clothes smell wierd after a while too, like it wasnt quite washing out properly and then getting a musty smell đ
same here
I haven't used this but I use a potassium crystal block (looks like an ice cube) - no case needed - just wet, rub for 30 seconds, done.
Yes I have tried a crystal deodorant before. It works but I have to do a detox every day before using it which just seems impractical for me. I think also because I am a sweaty person that doesnât help đđ
I really wanted to try it but itâs so expensive, Iâm not a crazy sweaty person, but idk if I want to waste the money if itâs not going to work, that being said I find a lot of non natural deodorants work for me either
I do think itâs good for non-sweaty people, the scents are nice too but I would also do an armpit detox from time to time
