Though I gotta say, when you play on a large map (6 tiles), in my experience, the small airport stuff and first world entrance are still in the way when building a medium/large terminal...

That's a very interesting point. I never tried the large map. I had enough trouble with the game slowing down on 4 tiles.

how do you rotate things?

R in my case. Can't remember if that's the default key or not. Check in the game's control settings menu.
