Difference between wild and domesticated guppies, wild are hard to catch in the net, domesticated swim right into the net!

MrScienceGeek nope, wild guppies and endlers are easy to catch...
MrScienceGeek, xD if thats how it is, then my guppies that i've raised in captivity are Wild xD some of them at least...

Wow, Dan stopped by, He's another great channel that I watch constantly, He has tons of great outdoor adventures, Definitely a channel that deserves more attention than it gets, I highly recommend checking him out!!!
New subscriber here. Gotta say, it's nice seeing all these great video makers convening on this one channel. @Dan Hiteshaw and @Cap'n Spicy both are great video makers for the aquatic hobby. Like, YT seriously needs more of you guys. I feel like you fellas cover a lot of unique material, and in unique ways. And here comes along the new channel, JH Aquatics, and again, genuine and awesome videos for the discriminating fish keeping hobbyist! Dan, Spicy, I love you guys and your videos, and JH, I I'm very happy to see your fun and unique material as well. You three are all extremely underappreciated on this site and within the hobby. I predict, and hope to see, you guys gain more exposure and help a lot more people very soon. Loving what's been coming out from your channels and wanted to thank you very much for keeping me engaged in the hobby with your videos. You three are awesome!
Nice work dude...keep on doing it
Rajesh. Thank you!
JH Aquatics welcome...
Very underrated channel. Great work.
Liked and subbed
If you put the net on the bottom the fish will come in for a look and swim over the top. That's when you lift the net.
Wow, the colors look more Endler like, then anything you see at a pet store. I had not idea that wild's were splotchy colors here and there. Tells you how much breeding it took to get those colors into the Moscow/Grass/Metal Heads and so on!
Watching from Philippines

@Guppy Guy You can contact me on facebook and instagram. I could prepare some for you.
@Guppy Guy you can contact me on my facebook and or my instagram. Both are JH Aquatic
In Trinidad and Tobago, we call them seven colors guppies. They are also wild here.
Risharde Ramnath Do you know of any fish farms you could connecte with there? I would love to come and visit.
I live in San Antonio Texas a couple of years ago I bought about ten varieties including a wild type feeder Guppies and released them in a local Wal-Mart drainage pond that holds water all the time inches to two three foot deep this was in March by December the who pond was loaded with several sizes or generations in ten months but sad to say in January a Cold Front killed all them in the spring the pond was fishless It was an experiment that I know was doomed I felt bad
Why would you release them there
Look like mosquito fish to me but they aren't in Trinidad or wherever you are.
Intestine though. I have spots in south Florida with fancy guppies in canals.
Nice mosquito fish, can also catch many in lakes around the US.
I love it when people go collecting and share it in videos .... I was thinking,
I wish somebody would go Island hopping and show the freshwater stream fish of the islands that are suited for aquariums .....
JH Aqauatics~ your welcome...
DUDE YA RoCk !!!~
More of the same please sir...đ
Stay tuned I plan to do this in Jamaica

Oh my gosh that will be incredible !!!đ€Ż
Let me just say I love your content!!! I would love to know how to reach out to you and ask you a few things! You're the only one posting remotely close to where I am đđđ I'm in northern Florida. But I'm struggling to find the right forums and people to talk to! I'm in desperate need of some fish friendly talk and help! You and Cory from Aquarium Co-op are really inspiring me to take my hobby to another level! Any help or direction would be amazing!! Keep up the amazing work!
You can always ask questions. They are always welcome.
Well right now I have 2 tanks going. A 55 gal and a 40 gal breeder. I only have native fish that I caught myself and a rhino pleco that's pretty big lol. I have 10 catfish and some golden sided top minnows and some crayfish also, a snail (Idk what kind because I caught it. It's either an apple or mystery). All that is fixing to change though. The catfish are outgrowing the tank now so I have a 100 gal Rubbermaid to move them to! Ok so enough of that hears where the question comes in.. I want to turn my 40 gal breeder into a Endler tank with some cherry shrimp and maybe a smaller breed pleco. But I can't seem to find any endlers. And the ones I can find the lines are so muddy.. I really love these little fish but I also want to share my hobby with my local fish store just so they have something different. But, I don't want to turn out bad fish that will cloud the line more.. Now I do have some breeding experience but with chiclids not guppys. But, I'm invested for sure! Not a professional just a girl with an aquaculture degree 10 years old who loves fish and the hobby. But locally I have no fish clubs... And I don't have anyone to talk fish with. Do you recommend anyone that might be selling endlers? I do have my heart set on them but, I wouldn't mind have some other guppies as well but I'm scared to invest in someone's fish I know nothing about. So sorry for the long post! Hope it's ok â€
Well, in regards to the question. Do I recommend anyone to get endler's livebearers from. I would say aquabid.com. Also there is a Guy named Adrian HD in the endler world. I believe he has a nice collection. Im not sure I can ship these fish yet. If I did distribute these fishes it would more then likely be thru a group preserving species.
JH Aquatics so glad you want to preserve them! Thank you so much for the suggestions and getting back to me so quickly đ
10,010 subsriber
Thank you!!
JH, what was the environment you foind them in like? Was it at the top or bottom of a waterfall, or in the middle of the stream after or before the waterfall?
Thank you for this video, btw.
Shining Asteris Luck It is just a little Creek
Those look like endler goppys
WOW... That is just awesome!.. I normally consider watching anything involving guppies as a form of torture... But WILD LOCAL guppies... Insanely awesome, I'm a huge nature buff, Loved the nettles and palms as well, And the fact that it's your back yard makes it even cooler, Or your buddies... What kinds of native insects do you have there? Are there other fish species too? Again loved the plant info... Thanks for sharing this, Just amazing!!!
Cap'n Spicy lol made me laugh! "Torched". Thanks for watching. It is a labor of love.
Sorry... Was meant as a compliment, But humor is good too, lol... Not sure why I loathe guppies so much, I should probably keep my opinions to myself sometimes though... But honestly I really loved this video and even enjoyed the guppies, As I do respect them as a species and as part of a natural environment, I just hate them in a captivity for some unknown reason... I'm odd, I know.
In which country do you get guppies in pond or lakes
Use some bigger nets it will be much easier :-)
New subscriber Great video, would love to see guppies in the wild. Worked with guppies on a Genetic project and devote my CZcams channel all to them. Fascinating little animals. Thanks
