I love Petula too. Did you know she turned 90 last year and is still performing and recording? At the time of her birthday she was performing in London's West End in Mary Poppins (I actually met her at the beginning of the run as I work in theatre) In the last 10 years she has recorded two English and two French albums. I would urge you to listen CUT COPY ME - she still goes for a contemporary sound and does it so well....additionally LOST IN YOU which sounds like it could be an Adele song. A great song from around 1970 that isn't well known is I WANNA SEE MORNING WITH HIM. If you don't know these songs already you are definitely in for a treat
