Video is helpful for those that have Expansion Pack since Clinchfield SD40 comes in secondary paint CSX-S. Selector Lever is also used for DPU Banking Comms with AC4400CW

Can you explain the selector lever, from 1 to 4 and then you would use these options

I think it's to do with how many locos you have, so if 3, set to 3 🤔

@@TheBritishAce I know that's how it works in the F7, but I'm not sure about the SD40, it could be, but I was thinking more like different types of power, like 1 more for shunting and getting moving, and 4 for long hauls and once moving

Yeah that's a good point, well 4 seems to do the trick each time 👍 American stuff is not really my expertise lol

The selector lever positions 1-4 are for power transitions of any connected locos that do not have automatic transitions for the power. Position 1 is all you need because all the locos in CRR have automatic transitions.

When I am trying to use this it does not move and the PCS open light is on, what am I supposed to do with this? I followed the procedure on TSW guide and it does nothing.

hmm have you turned the safety systems on?

@@TheBritishAce Are they supposed to be on or off? All breakers in the panel are in the on position. The loco rolls so brakes are setup correctly.

@@TheBritishAce There is nothing to turn on the safety systems on the SD40. I have also tried using the loco in multiple with four EMD variants and all applied power except this SD40.
