[MY ENTRY] Jamattack CC5 - Jam Gauntlet (2nd preview)

- The gameplay is now finished, the next step is to structure the layout, fix some bugs, maybe remaster some of the animations.

Phenomenal music representation, I'm so glad that Calamity songs are being used outside of Calamity-themed levels for a change. You mimicked Jamattack's gameplay very well too, it feels like the kind of thing he'd make, and the low gravity jumps are super satisfying. Good luck with the contest, fellow unnoticed GD creator!

I saw the thumbnail and im like, "oh another layout video. well, its for the jam gauntlet, so why not." but i am actually really impressed. this looks similar to some jamattack-style gameplay, and looks really thought out. i like the music sync. looking good so far, excited to see what you cook up next with this level!

I like how everyone copies the gem from Glorious Fortress.
It’s meant to be like that (I think).
In theory, the gauntlet has levels and each level at the end has a gem and you have to collect them all.😊
@@SebastianoPasini Yeah but almost everyone copies the exact same gem asset from Glorious Fortress. But Jamattack said in his discord server that particular asset is okay to copy

My ideas:
The energetic and bouncy parts should be air based disasters for good ol’ song representations and vice versa.
For 0:48 debris flying forward (possibly from a sandstorm) could be pretty neat. It might just represent the calm chaos in the song

I feel like the part where the meteor hits should be a lot more intense, but overall cool!

Hey, this is a great layout!
Just at a glance there’s a few skips that are easy to fix, hope this helps.
0:03 Skippable jump into the blocks with blue pads
0:12 Spider can hit yellow pads without teleporting
0:17 Don’t need to use pink orb to reach the platform if you hold as a robot
0:30 black orb makes no difference
0:31 spider orbs make no difference
0:32 you can just fall to the third platform as a ball instead of changing gravity, maybe add a spike there.
0:51 you might be able to skip the spike and spider orb if you just time your last jump late into the yellow pads.
Might want to make sure the “magical” extended jumps work even if you time them very late, so it doesn’t feel gimmicky.
It’s very stable outside of that. My favorite is the spider part. Well done, hope it places in the contest.
This looks absolutely amazing so far, the gameplay perfectly captures that JamAttack feel and vibe, you nailed the gameplay
But I will say, the spider part looks just a tad bit unbalanced, not too much but just a tiny bit too tight compared to everything else
But minus that, it looks amazing so far, I really hope you do get this done, I would love to see this finished and hopefully on the top 3 winners :3

Oh god there's more space themed levels than I thought but still really cool layout
This isn't going to be space themed, the idea for the level is about natural disasters, that's why you saw a asteroid/meteor at the beginning of the level
oh thank god i was planning to make a space themed level
but the theme of natural disasters is really unique
I have an idea change the meteor to DoG and color of the gem into bluish gray,then DoG will take it and you have to chase it

What theme are you thinking of
Not really sure the theme, but the idea of this level is about the player going through many different types of disasters until they get the gem that got thrown far away, the one you saw at the beginning of the level
Mabye you could be in a space station but then the asteroids launches you to space and you try to get to earth
