- There are more than 20,000 Burmese people living on the south side of Indianapolis. And there several Burmese restaurants and stores along Madison Avenue.
Here's a tour of Chin Brothers, courtesy of Mr. Than, who grew up in the Chin State of Myanmar. He moved his family to Indianapolis in the early 2000s. Him and his wife have been running this grocery store ever since.
The other half of the space is a Burmese restaurant. Here's a crash course in Burmese cuisine with Mr. Than Hre / cfxtqcbg5ra

Very interesting. The Burmese population in Perry Township continues to grow. Perry Township Schools is 31% Asian and continuing to grow. I think the diversity in Indianapolis with the new growth from the Chin Burmese is one of the best kept secrets about the city/metro
Hi JZ. Thanks for commenting. One of the reasons I travel is to discover communities like this one.
Wow that's a lot more than I thought.

Hi Ji Yoon. Thanks for commenting. I'm hoping to visit Dallas next year. Can you suggest a place or two?

At 7:40, brother from top to bottom it’s Thai 🇹🇭, Cambodian/Khmer 🇰🇭, Vietnamese 🇻🇳, Laotian 🇱🇦. I eat that rice brand at home. 😄 thanks for your upload.

Crappy food.
Hi Lowdown. Which place(s) would you recommend?
@@briancicioni194 this is like 5 months late 😂 but for restaurants go for Yangon restaurant or Kimu. As for groceries, they are all kind of the same.
@@nihleisung608 I've tried them all, including the ones in Fort Wayne and Bloomington. And I still enjoy Chin Bros.
