This is how bad taste sounds like in opera (aka Tebaldi) vs how great taste sounds (always Maria Callas) Keep in mind that Maria's recording was taken a year before she quit opera performances.
Your taste is Marinella, Psinakis and Marinos, so please don't lecture us on good or bad operatic taste. Lol. Both are great here, just different. I doubt Callas could declame in the same Italian way. That was the tradition at the time, maybe not your taste but it's powerful.
Tebaldi? More like Renata Terribaldi! Hahahahaha! I still don’t understand the hype for Tebaldi, she sounds boring asf. While Callas is the greatest opera singer ever.
@@Orfeus80 So what? I mean this video is just comparing the ending part but if you compare their Vissi d’arte or the Act I/III duets with Cavaradossi you can see their level gap is huge. Tebaldi is just plain and meeky while Callas is pure fire.
@ladivinafanatic I prefer Callas in other roles. Medea, Lady Macbeth, Abigaille and Armida. As Tosca, I prefer Tebaldi. Grand, lyrical, beautiful, aristocratic. Callas sounds like a spoiled, angry girl. Not my cup of tea for Tosca.
@@Orfeus80 Lmfao Tebaldi could NEVER sing roles like Medea, Lady Macbeth, Abigaille and Armida due to lack of technique. And how is Tebaldi’s Tosca more lyrical, grand and aristocratic than Callas’? If I’m Tebaldi’s Cavaradossi I would look for other women.
@ladivinafanatic lyrico spinto sopranos don't normally sing those roles. Callas didn't sing other roles because they didn't suit her either. Also, a technique that lasts 5 years is a bit questionable... By the time she was 40, she was finished.
Amazing Both Divas!!! 🌹🌹
Callas by miles!!

Callas can do Italian just fine😂 and even if she couldn’t, I’d take her singing over renetas screeching here any day
@@DynastieArtistique careful, Maria's wobbling causes nausea. Her producer wanted to issue sick pills with her recordings. 😄

Maybe Callas, who attended Tebaldi's performances, understood the hype more than you ;)
