Watched him play his heart out on Daytona Beach outdoor stage at bike week during(late 80's/90-1?) few walker by's even bothered to stop and watch, which perplexed me then thru now. I didn't know who he was but his playing stopped me in my tracks and kept me there. Ended up only chance to see him live that didn't cost me serious cash. Including 2 nights prior to this show, still a reasonable value considering all things, they were good seats as well.

Amazing how he builds up his guitar solos. It's like they are taken straight from the holy instruction book of blues. For aspiring guitarists, well its only to watch and learn from one of the blues masters of our time ...

He plays every guitar expertly but when he has his 335 it just looks effortless. I’m sure if I buy a Grote or firefly . After watching Joe I’m sure mine will sound just like that.
