Just another FYI: I always thought those phones were neat because you could actually make a call outside the house or in your car. LOL. They DID have a reputation for being unreliable though.
I was a teen in the 80's (aging myself LOL). I do remember those phones. They were cool back then, but VERY pricey. If you were a person of average means, you didn't have one "fer sure". Ha.
