@DoctorMix, get your RC 505 Mk I or II , you still got both , I have , & creating some loops with Osmose , the way the sounds work together is stunning. It's like working with pastels , the sounds seem to merge into each other. Those basses are just devine, i love the double slap , 5 months later & it's like i haven't yet started.
I'm not a knob twiddler , haven't a clue whats inside , I don't care . The presets will keep me happy until 2052 . MADNESS.
Doctormix reviews, truly stands out from others. Instead of a lot of technical speaking, he just lets the synth speak for itself. Keep up the great work! Amazing playing.

I thought the Rhoades and mini moog sounded good together, but this, this combo is awesome. I know it's a demonstration but the music in this was well done.

My God this synth is pure madness. The bass end of the sound is so thickkkk
I've had mine since December .... words fail. it's like having a whole load of instruments. Everytime i get it out of the case , i get so excited. I knew you'd love it. Try it with your RC505 how the sounds blend into a rhythm palette is amazing.
What i realised is , when we play a guitar , flute , cello/ natural instrument our fingers naturally have varying pressures , on a regular keyboard , we get loud or soft & a bit of pitch bend with a wheel, but the osmose captures the way our fingers respond & so it's never the same twice.
We can still use our synths & keys for the other stuff, but the osmose is an instrument. We had the hammond organ & the fender rhodes , but for years there has been a gap , which no matter how brilliant the sounds & tech .in all the amazing synths , there was something lacking. Here is the Osmose & we have to learn how to play it , it's very friendly & it will help you as you learn.

I sent the guys at Expressive a warm friendly email..told them i'm such a happy 74year old honky tonk praise & thanks to the Lord man.,& at last I've found my instrument.. Now i'm going to make the music that the angels sing to , my job is to Rock the Flock & Jam with the Lamb. Church music needs an injection of spontaneous creativity , sounds to lift hearts heaven wards. The team at Expressive E , replied , very encouraged & shared it round the departments. Music Madness.
Fully agree Peter. Its a true joy to play and create with. It doesn't take long for the fingers to "fall into" a new way of laying into the keys. I am surprised daily with OSMOSE, always. Claudio will go ham with it and I have no doubt this is only the first chapter with it.
5 months later , Im still discovering sounds , been playing through demos this week trying to catalogue them. & remember favourites.

Please more Osmose videos. From my experience I can say that the Osmose is not as easy to play as it seems to sound good. Often there is too much and wrong bending and vibrato, but Doctor Mix nailed it.
And what is often underestimated is the natural expression possible because it is not simple static velocity, but the variable pressing of the key that causes the volume and timbre of the sound.

I'm a guitar player and I definitely need this. In fact I already do "finger vibrato"" even when my modest midi controller doesn't have that feature lol!

This is a killer synth for bass lines.
the basses are FAT, only yesterday i was groovin in my shop & a customer remarked on the bass. Kick Bass Slide is a great preset & double slap.

@@reggiep75 🤔too easy this way. You probably first have to be dubed my H.M.DrMix (Dubbing?) before being allowed to wear the rings.
He also wear magic necklaces, but you have to play very well to earn one, if you understood Dr Mix felt honored to offer one to Cory Henry.
I'll ask my niece a Harry Potter formula for pizno playing it will be simpler.

At the 4:00 min mark I was taken back to being a kid and hearing the theme to "Taxi" on TV for the first time and being fascinated by the Rhodes-like sound within that piece. I love how music can take you back to memories!

More Osmose! I actually have a really similar setup with my Rhodes mkII and the Osmose which I usually play side to side, I really like the contrast of the clean Rhodes tones plus the Digital/Harsh Osmose sounds

Heck yes. I was absolutely waiting to see you play the Osmose. I've been mildly obsessed by MPE ever since I learned my synth both supports it, but not from the built-in controller. Definitely madness, to be sure. Loved the microtonal jazz at the end, haha

More Osmose Please !! Specifically I’d like to hear some expressive orchestra parts and horn section parts. I play in a band that covers many styles requiring lots of strings, brass, harmonica, accordion, “fiddle”, etc. Most keyboards cover these sounds but the realistic expressiveness isn’t there. For the sounds I’ve mentioned, the expressive Osmose could open up a whole new world for us all !!!

I can really confirm the osmose is an awesome instrument. I love the bansuri, grandma‘s garden and all the percussive presets. However, the operating system could be a littlebit more stable.

What kind of synth engine does it use?
@@159awi according to their website they are using EaganMatrix synth engine by Haken Audio.
@@159awiit uses something they call the Haken matrix which seems to blend several synthesis types. I think it’s unique, nothing else quite like it. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Claudio, I saw some short vids but the synth engine behind that thing is huge, complex and very challenging. A full set of many synthesys methods. A vid by you trying to explore that would be wonderful
