  • Mark King is 20 points behind with only the pink and black on the table. He can't snooker Barry because the black is over the pocket. However, after a few minutes of perseverance and excitement, Mark plays the dream shot ...and he just needs this frame to win the match and the title.
    Barry Hawkins vs Mark King - 2016 Northern Ireland Open Final
    Errata: the head to head between John Parrott and Ronnie O'Sullivan is 8-4 for Parrott and three 4-4 draws (not 11-4 as shown).
    Statistics shown in the video correspond to the match date.
    Cesar Muroya created his unique editing technique to extract the essence of the game without losing the drama involved. Contextual information is also an innovation appreciated by viewers.
    This format is not intended to be a substitute for the original unedited version, but being a supplementary alternative that seeks to meet the needs of some segments of snooker fans.

    Fair play to king who won this tournament,I was very happy for him to finally win a ranking title and he did it.When you really think about it there's alot of very good players who retired without ever winning a tournament in their careers.

      The pink ball is worth 6 points, the black one 7 points. The pink has to be scored OR being hit first, before black, otherwise it is a foul of seven points that are awarded to your opponent. The score is 65-45 if King had scored both, Hawkins would have won. King was trying to send the pink ball near the black one, in hope that he would not foul and that Hawkins would.

      @renerpho Před 4 lety +6

      To be fair, the first three of Parrott's wins happened before O'Sullivan turned 18, and when Parrott was at the peak of his career. If you only look at the last eight games between them, it's 3-3, with two ties. Still surprising, maybe, but not an 8-4.

      After any foul, they can always be asked to play again from the position left, so missing both balls would certainly have been better for Barry. However, a miss can be called if the ref believes it was a deliberate foul, even if someone needs snookers.
