    Gt hd mono by far the best out there, not many places allow braid now days which is a shame , not found anywhere with the gt hd tapered line yet

      Hi Lee, thanks for the feedback. We have only recently taken delivery of GT-HD tapered, so it's still making it's way to many of our retailers. If you are having trouble finding it, there is plenty for sale on Ebay. We hope this helps!

    The curly Bob knot is a modified albright knot. Normally you just fold the stiffer material over then pinch it between your fingers to make a sort of loop then pass the braid through the loop, whip up 7ish times and back down 5ish times and pass the tag end back through the bottom of the loop in the same direction you came in through before moistening and teasing it down and tightening. Great knot for leaders and reverse combi/hinge rigs, never had one fail once it's tightened down but it's important to test for slippage before taking the tag ends off because it does need a proper pull to bed it in.

      With an overhand knot in the mainline method, it sounds a bit more like a Mahin than an Albright? (though similar). A very commonly used leader knot in Sea fishing.

      @DjDolHaus86 Před 2 lety

      @@lessthanthree3 That's a fair point, very similar and I'm not sure what the practical difference is between them (ie. which is stronger etc.)

    • @lessthanthree3
      @lessthanthree3 Před 2 lety +1

      @@DjDolHaus86 The Albright is probably stronger, but still leaves you a tag each side of the knot. The main advantage of the Mahin are that both tags are the same side, facing back towards the spool (and therefore don't catch on the eyes as much as a b2b grinner or Albright would 👍)

    Do the 600m spools or noir come with 100 or 200m markers on the spool?

    Only ever seen one lot of "experiments" about been "sucked" under in chest waders and it was proven a fallacy. The water in the waders is only as dense as the waders surrounding you. Also chest waders tend to be made of buoyant materials.

    As a fly fishing guide we wiil not let anyone in the water in waders without a wading belt as especially in a river it will save your life.
