Excellent. I have just bit the bullet and installed Seasons. I planted Soy beans day one and on day two the field showed up "Harvested" could not under stand why. You explained it brilliantly why. Many thanks for your tutorial from a fellow brit.
i know it's an older video but i still use it occasionally when i go back to the good old days with fs 17 and seasons mod on
Excellent video! The half hour feature can be exploited but is realistic. Dealer will let you trial run equipment. We do it a lot as we don't run specific brand fleets. Our owner used to be the ford dealer so he always takes advantage of this and likes playing dealers off each other.
Thanks ! Yes I think the half hour trial is not an exploit. I live in a rural area, we have pigs, cows, arable and forest right around the town. Also farmers lend equipment and themselves. I will be chatting more about such things in the Goldcrest Farm Seasons vids as it is nicely relevant to the game I intend to play and the seasons mod effect on the gameplay.
I read the windfarm comment. I guess that would be one way to go...placeables. If you wanted to actually farm though, based solely on the calendar shown in the beginning, I vote grass/silage and maybe eventually sheep/cows. Once the mowing/bailing business is sufficiently profitable, of course.
I watched a video about doing this for regular non-seasons hard mode...and I figure it would work well with seasons too.
Things I forgot to mention: Wrapped bales of straw and hay are rain/snow proof.Grass, straw and hay left unbaled will decay, be dissolved by rain/snow and at midnight pretty much disappear. If you mow it, bale it!You must be out of a vehicle to skip night. The time you can skip night will be sundown or 8pm whichever is earliest due to seasonal variation. Thanks.
April is the cruelest month.
Withering not breeding.
Probably. I do everything live. Sometimes the wrong word comes out. The context usually makes my error obvious.
One thing to do in Seasons is collect all 100 gold nuggets for that instant $1,000,000 and combine that with sold equipment to buy a wind farm
That is certainly one way of covering the costs. :)
