SYMPHONIE AFRICAINE | by Charles Abrecht and Michael Wipf

Here a quick description about this project:
The two composers, Charles Abrecht and Michael Wipf, have many years of experience in the disciplines of the traditional Basel drumming, as well as Latin-Jazz and Afro-Cuban percussion.
With “Symphonie Africaine”, they have compiled over the last 10 years a wide array of traditional and modern Afro-Cuban Rhythms and Phrases, which they have re-arranged into the traditional Basler “Retraite” format.
Symphonie Africaine is meant to be performed on stage, as well as in the Streets of the Basler Fasnacht. Enjoy!
