    behringer man.. this set up would set you back around £1300 (including two keysteps and assuming the neutron is the price they say it will be) its pretty crazy the prices they are putting their hardware out for

      6 Months later and now it is going to cost me about $750...and I got basically a Moog D for $240 so all that for under a grand USD when a Model D alone would be $3000 easy (and it has USB and other features!)

      Got the DM12, Neutron, and SH101 clone so far. Definitely getting MS20 (K2), Oddysey, 808, 2600 and maybe OSkar ...a room full of dream synths for what a single moog model d would cost. Amazing.

(or they believe they can hear it..) imagine all those 303 classics, that never used a 303 :D .... like the model d... you get a real model d as a desktop/rack synth ... and its sounds like a real one and can be patched.... :) for me, i would never buy an expensive minimoog from 70s for 5k ;)

      How is the DM12 underrated? It's just that not everyone is willing to pay for a glorified Juno, it seems. Although it's actually close to the Jupiters feature-wise with that Unison detune.

    • @veganchris2923

    • @Electronicmassacre
      @Electronicmassacre Před 6 lety +2

      A keystep to control each synth. Everything done on the white keystep is the neutron and the black is the dm12. from what I’ve heard this little synth is insanely good. It’s sounds like nothing else when you get right in to it. Apparently it’s only £300 too.

    • @OttosTheName
      @OttosTheName Před 6 lety +1

      300 dollars in the states, EU and UK prices aren't known yet, probably 345 euro's in NL/DE just like the Model D.
      And yeah it does a whole lot more then other semi modulars between 600 and 1200 usd. There might be a more powerful semi modular synth out there for under 1500, but I haven't found it yet.

      @velocipede808 Před 6 lety +1

      Watching the polyphony lights at the top right of the Deep Mind, it seems that it is also being used for the bass. I guess the black KS sequence is going to the DM and white KS is going to the Neutron, but that key presses on both are sending MIDI to the DM.

    Behringer is the company to beat now. The Neutron can do fat bass really well too, the bass doesn't drop out when you crank the reso. I have the DM12 and Neutron and couldn't be happier with the sounds I can get out of them. I am into the New Wave and Synthwave 80s stuff, and they can both get there. Now when they release the RD-808, Pro-1, and UB-Xa… I can't think of anything else I could possibly want. And buying all three of those looks like it would be under a grand.
