Jamil "Gully TV" Lindsey is a journalist, author ,film director & #FASHION designer from Erie Pennsylvania. Jamil started Gully Tv Dvd in Atlanta Ga. in 2005 after severing ties with Vickie Stringer's Triple Crown Publications where he served as Ms. Stringer's personal ghostwriter. #GullyTv instantly earned a reputation as one of urban media's first R-rated hip-hop platform's due to it's thoroughly detailed coverage of the now infamous "lovers quarrel" between Atlanta Mc Gucci Mane & labelmate/mistress "Mac Breezy" which ended up being one of CZcams's early viral hip-hop videos. Jamil and Gully TV Media transitioned to the worldwide web in 2007 as gullytv.com where Jamil filmed a series of underground music videos with Harlem MC Head Ice, Lord Superb (wu-tang clan), Unkasa (Diplomats) & Omillio Sparks of State Property Who in 2009 was the subject of Gully Tv's first of many #Documentaries "Let The Sparks Fly". After briefly managing New Jersey battle rapper Shotgun Suge in 2012 Jamil began to put more emphasis on the online branding of Gully TV Media. A decision was made to implement Sports coverage along with fashion news & trends. Gully Tv's Unique brand of "Global Urban" media began to captivate the attention of the entertainment business due to a plethora of celebrity interviews from a-list talent like actors Jason Weaver & Khai Alaska. Comedians Kevin Hart & Talent. NBA Superstars Steve Francis & Rafer "Skip 2 my lou" Alston. Fashion Icons Willie Esco, Jeff Hamilton, and Danny Shaw. Former Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick , Mitchy Slick, Redman, Scarface, Rome Streetz, Cappadonna, Akon, Jazzy Pha, Tragedy Khadafi, Juelz Santana, Benny The Butcher, Conway, Planet Asia, Royce Da 5-9, Black Rob, Spice-1, Bun B, MystikaL, Shyheim, 2-time Heavyweight Champion Shannon Briggs & The Real Rick Ross just to be brief.
Jamil has appeared in The New York Times, Hip-Hop weekly, Straight Stuntin, The Source, and Validated magazines. He's been mentioned in a book about the murder of Biggie Smalls and been profiled on The Devin Wade Show, Lord Jamar's God cast, and Yukmouth's Smokealot Radio with Westcoast legend Spice-1

You asking all the right questions bruh 💯💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Any rapper that's known to have a ghostwriter should NEVER claim to be the best rapper. And should NEVER be mentioned in ANY "best rapper" debates. They should ONLY be mentioned in "best recording artists " or "best selling artists" debates.

Mickey Facts is wrong about Cormega writing illmatic. Cormega was reference to Nas writing about him and his lifestyle not Cormega actually writing the lyrics. Dont spread that false narrative.

But nas did borrow bars from mega on the song affirmative action. To be fair to Nas, mega scrapped his 1st verse so Nas said since u not keeping it, lemme get that line " life's a bitch god forbid the bitch divorce me, I be flooded with ice so hellfire can't scorch me " big facts

Mickey Facts wasn’t prepared for this conversation. Every hip hop podcaster is vouching for Drakes rap skills and they are letting him get away with Push Ups and that song has 3 writers (this is found in a simple google search)! You can’t have a real conversation if you’re full of 🧢. In the words of K Dot WE are not slow or dumb.

25:00 IDK. I hear a lot of people say no one else has been on top (or at least one of the top rappers) for 15 years like Drake..... But I think Snoop was on top from 1992 "Deep Cover"- 2018 "Smile (Living My Best Life)", Too $hort 1987 "Freaky Tales"- 2016 "Blow the Whistle", E-40 1993 "Captain Save a Hoe" - 2018"Choices", LL Cool J 1985 "I Need A Beat"- 2004 "Head Sprung".

I said the samething about this being a battle of nerd rappers for volggers and stans. They can keep going back and forth with unfounded accusations till no end but, what does that prove? There's no title or time limit before a winner is declared. And, how is a winner declared, by the fans or, vloggers? This is entertaining but honestly, its NOT hip hop. Where's the music? A Ghostface Nas collaboration is hip hop. A Common Pete Rock collaboration is Hip hop. This is he said she said your baby mama drama gossip. If this is the only way these two can get the attention of the fans, maybe their both washed. 🤔

Hey Gully .... Ghostwriting has been a staple in Hip Hop music from the very beginning .... Here are a few examples.
    1. 1979 Rappers Delight by The Sugarhill Gang .... Big Bank Hank's verses were written by Grandmaster Caz of The Cold Crush Brothers.
    2. 1982 The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five.... The first verses of the song was written by a guy named Duke Boote
3.1984 It's Yours by T La Rock ... Was written by T La Rock's brother Special K of The Treacherous Three.
    4. 1986 Run DMC .... Im Proud To Be Black, was written by Ed Lover and Dr Dre of Yo MTV Raps. Not Run DMC.
    5. 1987 Picking Boogers by Biz Markie was written by Big Daddy Kane ....
    6. 1989 Self Destruction .... Feat Mc Lyte .... LL Cool J wrote MC Lytes verse on Self Destruction.
    7. 2002 Paradise by LL Cool J was written by 50 Cent.
I could go on and on ....
I stop being nieve about Hip Hop a long time ago ....
The public at large doesn't care who wrote it.
The end goal in the music business is to present the best product to the public.
Once your a signed artist .... Your in the big leagues .... This isn't street corner rap anymore.

The ghost writer stuff is way deeper with Kanye, he uses a writers room or specific go-to’s for each album…like CyHi. Drake has written for Kanye & plenty of other people. Younger artists go to Drake with songs already crafted, he adds his flare…that song turns into a hit that will instantly add growing power to their respective careers. Thats why the hits Mickey mentioned are often early in the careers of younger artist, but when Drake came in the game…he was doing more writing for older artist like Beyonce, Diddy, Jamie Foxx, etc. while also being a stimulus package for DJ Khaled, Ross, etc. I don’t consider him a goat, but I understand how he leverages his skillset as an anomaly vs strictly an MC. His reign has been rooted in versatility and chameleon like tendencies.

I believe Drake won for 2 reasons, 3 to be exact. 1 , he is not a rapper, he's not, he does get caught up in these battles, but hes not a rapper. 2 Kendrick exposed our biggest weaknest as black people, hating other black people bc of the skin color. Its always been our hang up. I would love for Kendrick to attack the real vulture ,Eminem. He has all this anger for Drake, meanwhile marshall in the cut sippin martinis. At the end of the day all he did was tear another black man down. Im not a Drake fan but i never knew him to not support the culture. He does. If we gon say he not black enough bc he not black enough or he not from the states, or bc he had 2 parents , what are we really saying about ourselves. We never here about the oppressor going against their own. It seems like the only time we make the news its bc we going against each other.

This is basically the beef nobody asked for. For the past 15 years they have been making 1 -2 min songs. All of a sudden we making 7 min 3 different horrible beats diss tracks hoping one of them stick. Every 25 mins they dropping a new half ass diss track. J cole diss and apologized, Drake used AI, Kendrick basically dropped a track on to be a better parent ( Meet the Grahams) wtf is this? Theres no aggression in their voice, both sounding like they on the phone with a female. They need to just DM each other's diss tracks. Nobody cares at this point.
