Americans are super suspicious people and they won't usually allow you to turn around before the border because they'll automatically assume it makes you a criminal. I hate dealing with US security. They make even simple tourists feel like criminals even if they have done nothing wrong.

Happened to me near Niagara falls. Further out. I was kinds just taking a ride listening to music until I saw the border crossing haha. Parked myself where the truck stops and talked to the police in their car nearby and they let me through the right way.
Yup, been to ALOT of Red Wing games and as a kid my mom would tell me we almost accidentally went into Canada. Now I know the names of the exits lol all I knew about before was the Ambassador Bridge that takes you over there. I also found out (eventually after being freaked out a few times) that it happens to people all of the time so they are used to having to help a couple people a day turn around. Because getting into Canada is way easier than getting back here in the States.
@@CanadianCCP Are you a South Park Canadian or something? I meant if you actually got over and went into Windsor or deep into Ontario as far as going and coming back. And it’s the US side that gives us a hard time getting back in. Last time I went to visit family near Tobermory the Canadian side ACTUALLY gave us a hard time getting over there too. We were clearly a family on vacation and they searched our minivan for a good 4 hours and made us wait in their little border waiting room. You don’t always have to jump to defend your Country especially when someone isn’t saying anything bad about it. Plus, it’s where half of my family is from…
When I first started driving, the trainers GPS told me to go that way lmao. Didn't help that all my trainer did was drink beer 24/7. I definitely didn't take that exit, I knew where it went lol. They aren't as nice as you think, they can put you in Canadian prison if you have a firearm or knife in your truck. Be careful.
In San Diego, specifically the Otay Ranch border crossing, it's very similar. It does give you chances to get out but not many. I've nearly gone across the border on my way to the Las Americas mall because the exit for the mall is also the last exit if your not crossing in car.
I accidentally almost went to Mexico on a wrong exit in El Paso. I was so worried until their was a u turn spot far before the checkpoint so I was able to stay in the US.
Niagara Falls also has a stretch of the 405 highway that goes straight into the US. Same in Fort Erie if you go into the Duty free plaza. PITA if you do it because have to pay toll and Canada customes are assholes for the most part.
I was going to pick up sushi in Niagara Falls once during COVID and I missed the exit. Ended up at the border and was shitting my pants. The lanes were empty so I basically crossed over to the Canada entry lane and explained what happened to the CBSA guard and he asked for my license and let me through. They’re nice to you if you’re nice to them.
I guess it depends on what country you're a citizen of. I live in Sault Ste Marie, ON, Canada (so close to Michigan there is a Sault Ste Marie, MI, USA) and our bridge always has a wait into the states and none on the way back. Every time I cross some random shit happens. One time my car was straight up x-rayed at random. That never happens in Canada. Now Americans coming here think their laws still apply, so we have to ask questions like, "Do you have an illegal and entirely unnecessary firearm on you?" Meanwhile, y'all are threatening to arrest us at the border for a 0.5 joint we forgot in a backpack in our trunk or some shit but will campaign for a woman basketball player who did the same shit in a hostile nation. PS. Your customs officers have negative 1 sense of humor.
I use to go to school through the detroit/windsor tunnel almost everyday. If you made a wrong turn into the area where you pay the toll before the tunnel you can turn around without having to wait for anyone.
This was my biggest fear every time I went downtown. And since I went to Wayne State, it was always a stressful commute. (Mostly because I am afraid of heights and don't want to be stuck on the Ambassador bridge😱😂).

Exactly. There is another one along this same highway that just dumps you into Sarnia, Canada if you don't pay attention. That being said, it is the end of the road and there are tons of signs warning you of such.
What if the sign says France?
@@brandonmasterson4523 then somehow you made it to the EU
At least if you're going the other way they're *a* lane you can go to to get out, but otherwise, you hit the end of Huron church, you're at the border.
I always remember the first time I was on a U.S. highway and I saw a sign pointing towards Syria I was like wtf
I am so thankful for this. I have been too afraid to end up accidently in Canada.
Cause you'd wanna stay?

That is the strongest call of the void exit I've ever driven past.
This happened to me leaving Mexican town and I had to be escorted out by the police. They were cool about it.
Bruh I have to take this exit to get to Mexican town on verner lol . I never miss been there so many times for taqueria del Rey
I nearly did this at the tunnel 😅. That freeway exit just feels wrong, like you see the warnings, but your brain is is like no way there has to be a turnaround 😮.
Damn this truck is really fast
F1 engine swapped duh
When my business partner was 16, he used to take that entry into Canada, go to a liquor store in Windsor and buy beer all the time.
Which one the one by the bus terminal?
"What is the purpose of your visit to Canada?"
Me: "My satnav hates me"
Make a u turn when it is most convenient
Canadian border guard: "no problem bud take er easy."
Is nobody gonna talk about how the truck sounds like a 911 RSR?
I accidentally took this exit trying to go to a Mexican restaurant and a cop had to help me leave this is very true!!
"Reason for entry?"
"I want some Mexican food."
"Sir, this is Canada. You're nowhere near Mexico."
It says BRIDGE to Canada. Last I heard there are no turn offs on a Bridge.
What do you think a bridge is?
I love that the warning sign is after you're already on the exit. They might as well change it to say, "Sucks to be you!" or "Got 'em!"
"Abandon All Hope"
I just love this video because your truck sounds exactly like a high performance racecar and its fun to watch.
This guy has great editing skills
So funny visiting out here and seeing cars take that exist then slam on the breaks and then those reverse lights 😂
Yes I can tell who’s drunk and would rather risk an accident going reverse in a fwy exit. Than yo get a DUI for a wrong turn at a countries checkpoint 😭😭
funny till its you
@@kennyharmon1836But it may be better to be in an automobile accident than to potentially go to jail for immigration law violations or be barred from entering Canada or the USA ever again.
@@kennyharmon1836you can't get a DUI if they can't prove you're under an influence. You just get reckless driving / without due care
@@aycc-nbh7289that's an incredibly stupid selfish thing to say. You'd rather possibly kill an innocent family vacationing to Canada because you don't want to be barred from Canada?

Sounds like a motorcycle engine in that truck
I can't unhear this now lol
Yea cause it’s sped up that’s funny
Thats what I was thinking about 🤣
It is a gsxr
Actually it sounds like the calsonic GTR on GT3 on the ps2
You cut out the best part. That bridge is scary in a big truck. It moves on its own. And sometimes the potholes punch clear through the bridge deck and you can see the water beneath. 💀
Yes Matty margins bridge is beat the hell out of. Holes in it. Luckily a new bridge is being built south of downtown Detroit

crazy, on the canadian side of the blue water bridge there's a turn-around point, next to washrooms, right before the toll gate to cross to michigan
Americans are super suspicious people and they won't usually allow you to turn around before the border because they'll automatically assume it makes you a criminal. I hate dealing with US security. They make even simple tourists feel like criminals even if they have done nothing wrong.
Its absolutely ridiculous that we don't just have an open border with Canada ngl
We used to. Then 9/11 happened

Happened to me near Niagara falls. Further out. I was kinds just taking a ride listening to music until I saw the border crossing haha. Parked myself where the truck stops and talked to the police in their car nearby and they let me through the right way.

I thought you were on a motorcycle 😂
Motorcycle. Definitely.
Im fried asf rn I definitely thought it was a motorcycle too
That speedup truck sounds like a i4 sports bike 😂
I had a worker of mine from out of state accidentally take this exit , and he was detained for 6 hrs because his vehicle smelled like Marijuana
What do you mean? All you need to do is turn around and head back over the bridge, there is no Canadian Agency torturing you if you want to go home.
Plus, it’s where half of my family is from…
The semi sounded like a f1 car low rev gear banging
When I first started driving, the trainers GPS told me to go that way lmao. Didn't help that all my trainer did was drink beer 24/7. I definitely didn't take that exit, I knew where it went lol. They aren't as nice as you think, they can put you in Canadian prison if you have a firearm or knife in your truck. Be careful.
In San Diego, specifically the Otay Ranch border crossing, it's very similar. It does give you chances to get out but not many. I've nearly gone across the border on my way to the Las Americas mall because the exit for the mall is also the last exit if your not crossing in car.
Growing up I thought if I crossed that bridge, they'd never let me return
I like how the truck sounds like a V6 F1 in fast forward
I use to go to school through the detroit/windsor tunnel almost everyday. If you made a wrong turn into the area where you pay the toll before the tunnel you can turn around without having to wait for anyone.
I’ve did this once and had to wait 2 hours for them to let me out.
Two hours? I had to wait a year
@@alterior8869 whats the story behind this
Nobody paying attention to how the truck sounds like an F1 car when sped up?
This was my biggest fear every time I went downtown. And since I went to Wayne State, it was always a stressful commute. (Mostly because I am afraid of heights and don't want to be stuck on the Ambassador bridge😱😂).
I’ve almost got off here a couple times. Gives me a good scare!
The truck be soundin like a f1 car sped up
For survival purposes probably just don’t find yourself in Detroit in the first place lmao

Except the bridge to Sarnia does not require taking a potentially confusing exit, you just stay on I-94, then you cross and it becomes the 402

As someone who lives in Toledo, I can honestly say every time Ive been to Canada, it was entirely on accident. Whether from here, or by Buffalo, NY.
Ill also mention this was before you needed a passport to go in.
There’s one like that in Buffalo, NY too. Exit 9 off the Scajaquada Expressway

I think making a wrong turn into Canada is probably best case when lost in Detroit…
Since the sped up footage sounds like an F1 clip:
"Max, you just went down the forbidden exit. Turn back, Max."
*"I wanna go to Canada."*
"Not like that, Max."
*Don't make a wrong turn even if you're walking in Detroit.*
"Gotta watch it. Don't make a wrong turn" applies to so much more in Detroit than just this exit.
true
I noticed that when wife and I made the trip up from Washington DC to visit my old stomping grounds in Royal Oak last July. We decided to cross over to get a bite to eat at Harbor House snd putz around. Thankfully it was an easy crossing to enter. Much longer getting back in in the pouring rain but fun trip nonetheless.
