It's so crazy, I'm 43 so i grew up with K&D and Thievery. But to hear these stories so many years later. We didn't have the access to these artists to know how they were connected, but still if you meet someone who listened to K&D you would logically ask them, oh do you know Thievery Corporation. Where are a Tycho fan in the past 10 years you kind of know they are associated with Nitemoves and Com Truise, and Ghostly records it's more accessible. But still these episodes are so valuable to hardcore fans. To hear about Thievery and their story is like a missing piece of history for me. Thanks Tycho!!!
I want to let you know I admire your group so much. Very spiritual, intimate, and therapeutic. I love you all. I saw you once in Chicago the other year and the guards shooed me away from the bus to say hi. All good but just know I respect all of you and love you all. God bless.
This is so cool. Thievery Corporation like Boards of Canada are so refreshing. Really enjoyed learning about new artists who inspired or worked with you guys, who I hadn't heard of yet. I'm always looking to expand my music horizons with the hidden gems I haven't even heard of.
Radio Retaliation brought me into mixing at that time (and was the name of our humble crew in honour of the Thievery Corporatiob. Tycho blasted me 10+ years later. This is awesome
Awesome interview… A few older music recommandations that should match for the commentary section… :) Boozoo Bajou - Divers Skizzo Franick - Ahoy Rinocerose - I love my guitar Further suggestions: Roosevelt, Poolside, Satin Jackets, Pyramid, Parcels, Panama, Jungle, Pompeya, Max Melvin (Seaside), nearly everything from the „Space Night“ compilations and the „Forza Horizon 2 Pulse Playlist“ is really worth to hear as well. Looking forward to see TC in June. Greetz to all of you from Cologne, keep listening to great music! ❤
This was amazing to be part of, makes me feel like an insider 😆 I enjoy talking and hearing about the creation of music but don’t have any musician friends lol so loved this!!
I love these genuine conversations which at the same time offer so much background information. It’s sometimes like revisiting your favourite albums or artists. Thanks to both of you for both your music and commitment. Outstanding! 🙏🏻
