The GT4 has always been held in high regard here in the UK. Fortunately we have always had access to them. With our high octane fuel 100 RON, it was always a tuner's dream with uprated turbo's, forged engines, large intercoolers and much, much more. Some are 500 BHP plus..and reliable.

@@RaitisRides It's the same with the R34 Skyline GTR here. Whilst not common just like the GT4, they have always been accessable in the UK, many running 700BHP plus and there are some absolute beauties too. We in the UK are astounded why the US have been so strict on allowing such vehicles in, especially when you guys run monster trucks/engines (if it is an emission thing). Great review by the way. Keep them coming.

@@Craigz1000 it was the market not really an emissions thing but it did have somewhat to do with emissions as more people started leaning towards economic friendly cars. But They had the st185 (my dad has owned one since 2008) and we had every line of supra ever made going back to celica supra. Back then your everyday US consumer, aside from enthusiasts, didn't care much for jdm sports cars. That wasn't until after fast and the furious which it was already too late. US consumers mostly stuck with luxury and more economic friendly vehicles. Hence why they made lexus and acura to appeal to that market

    That's impressive horsepower in 1994 for a 2.0 liter turbo at 252. A stock 2019 Audi A4 2.0T doesn't even make that these days.

Agreed fellas but was just saying a 40-50k non super high performance 2 liter turbos these days still doesn't put out that kind of power 25 years later. Step it up to S3 and RS3 and 2.0t is way beyond any of those numbers though.

Back then the difference between the WRX and STi starting with the Ver 3 were so small that you could still have 280hp. Subaru gave the Ver 3 WRX a VF22 standard and during drags with minor bolt ons the Ver 3 STi couldnt keep up, hence the bug eye and on WRX was gutless

All Toyota has to do with the Celica is modify their Corolla and make it a 2 door coupe and/or 3 door hatchback and it would be 100% a Toyota Corolla minus 2 doors.
