Yes it can! That is the reason I bought it. However, you need a two car garage because you will need the extra clearance. You have to angle it into the garage.
@@BikingWithTheBoys thank you so much! mtb and boating! love it! the 170 is the perfect size for my wife and 2 small kids. i liked the 150 BUT there wasnt those 2 seats in the rear that the 170 has. i do have a 2 car garage so thanks for that tip! such a classic and timeless boat.
@@itr0863 It truly is awesome! Boat rides amazing for a 17 footer. If you want to have more maneuverability when backing the trailer into the garage, I recommend buying a pair of wheel dollies from harbor freight. I use the Daytona 1300lbs ones. You can back it in without them but it does help position the boat exactly where you want it. Hope you get the boat and enjoy it as much as I do! Have a great day and good luck!
Taking careful measurements of your garage (mine is 20') and folding the trailer tongue (the trailer it comes with has a folding tongue) it should just fit in my garage. Allow for thickness of garage door horizontal braces. Boston Whaler has a chart with all trailer dimensions, with boat on trailer, motor up, motor down, tongue extended, and how much to subtract for folding the tongue ,etc. Very helpful. Also, my garage opening is only 80" high. If you get the model with the water sport structure on the transom it increases the height and may not fit in my garage. Some people also put on smaller tires to decrease the height. GO FOR IT! I will be looking for a used one (latest hull design which is 2018 and newer) very soon.
