- (Graphic Content Warning) Matthew Ponomarenko told a 911 dispatcher in Parma, Ohio that he killed his son Jax with a baseball bat. Parma police released 911 audio of Ponomarenko's conversation with the dispatcher.
I grew up in the same neighborhood and now I own a rental there. I just lost my dad 2 months ago. Usually true crime doesn’t phase me but as a grown man I’m bawling my eyes out

He'll definitely be in segregation/protective custody. But should he refuses segregation, or whatever and be in general population, he won't last long. Inmates, no matter their crime, have no tolerance for those who sexually molest, rape, torture etc children.
On another note, I wouldn't be surprised if his lawyer claims the 911operator violated his rights against self incrimination to try try to get him a deal......

You have to desensitize because losing control does not help the situation. But they do suffer from what is known as secondary trauma and they also have to get treatment. This does provoke a PTSD type of response over time.
They have to remain calm. If they put their emotions into the phone call then it'll only make the situation worse. She was talking to a murderer. The last thing you want to do is upset him and put even more lives at risk. Best to keep him on the phone as long as possible until police arrive, and you do that be staying calm and only asking the most important questions.

But criminals seem to have more rights than the victims because that would be “cruel and unusual”, even though the manner in which Jax was killed was the pure definition of cruel and unusual.

A father allegedly admitted to repeatedly harming his infant child who suffered multiple broken bones, Kentucky police say. The 6-month-old child had a broken right lower leg, broken left tibia and fibula, broken right humerus and three broken ribs, police in Elizabethtown say. His father 26-year-old Scott Gudgel was charged with first-degree criminal abuse after he said he “lost control of his actions on several occasions,” police wrote in an arrest citation.

This is gonna sound weird as hell but I swear I remember seeing like a security footage video of him doing it. That or it was some sort of fragmented dream after just hearing about the story. I'm on medication that can cause vivid and more intense dreams so it'd make sense but the fact that I feel like I can remember it so clearly is making me feel crazy. I don't even remember hearing about this story until I randomly remembered seeing/dreaming the video like 10 minutes ago and started looking into it.

I feel bad for the family, and this man. The guilt it takes to give up and call authorities, the process in his mind it would take to decide to kill his own son…. It’s heart breaking. The distress and disassociation in his voice knowing what he’s done. And I can’t imagine what the mother is even going through, the anger and hatred towards this man is more than justified.

This is very apparent to be a quick sudden break or snap from reality as witnessed by his voice, shallow breathing and catatonic state. This is not an act, it's his sudden reality. He’s “allegedly” bipolar. He has previous charges of abuse of the child as well. He wasn’t in a facility for 3 days...that’s false. He had an apt and it was cancelled. He wasn’t on his meds because he was using street drugs and mixing a street drug and bipolar meds can have a seriously bad outcome. There is a lot more to this.
