Happy to see Rocko Reedy's reaction to Make It Out Alive. I love when there are reactions from people in the industry who can see how special One OK Rock is. I love this song because it really rocks and this is where One OK Rock excels especially when it is done live.
This band popped on my radar when they did the closing track on the live action Kenshin movie track was The Beginning. I sat awed after to be honest. I just wasn't expecting it.

Ryota, bassist for One OK Rock, is married to Avril Lavigne's sister.

This is what you can expect their next album to sound like. They're going back to how they sounded originally, before they changed to a more pop rock sound back in 2017. They wanted to appeal more to western fans. A couple older songs that you should check out are "No Scared" and "Deeper Deeper" live at Yokohama stadium Mighty Long Fall tour. As well as "Mighty Long Fall" live at Saitama super arena 35xxxv tour
The singer, Taka, was friends with Chester Bennington.
Saw Journey as one of the many artists that Rocko's toured with. Maybe you can check out Journey's Arnel Pineda and OOR's Taka covering Open Arms on Arnel's channel. Both of them are amazing vocalists

IMO, JILL PLAYING YNGVIE'S "FAR BEYOND THE SUN" IS MUCH BETTER BECAUSE IT WAS INSPIRED BY PAGANINI'S VIOLIN COMPOSITIONS. 2 VERSIONS: WITH QUADRATUM AND A "1 TAKE" STYLE IN HER HOME STUDIO. BOTH MVs EQUALLY FINE.

I don't think anyone notices him forgetting the lyrics. and he does that with many new songs (understandbly, i mean dudes have 13 albums by now, try remembering all the lyrics :D)

I am also wishy washy regarding one ok rock. I have really tried to listen to several songs, and no .... not my taste at all. I do not like their voices. I come to think of boring boy bands. Just nothing for me. But, I have never listened to this performance before. Its good. I like it. And I think it is because only one is singing. And he has a kind of power voice. And the band also play some power rock. This is impressive and also driving, you tend to move or even head banging. Good job one ok rock! But for me so far it is a "one hit wonder".
What songs have you listened to, cause they changed their songs after like 2014 to appeal to more western audiences
@@dillonmackay683 I have listen to several, most those that someone recommended to take me out of my opinion :) But, also random songs , just recommended by CZcams. I have no idea what songs they were and how old they were. Some were quite cool to begin with, but when the singing starts something says klick and I just can't stand it. It just reminds me of boring boy bands. And I get the wrong kind of goose bumps, rather some chills. And hurries for the stop button.

thats your fault ngl, taka is the best tenor in modern rock, maybe you prefer weak technique singers who strain their voice all the time - taka just has a high-set voice much like his good friend Chester (RIP) @@rolandkarlsson7072
