      "Some 'Republicans' want to 'Ban-ALL-Abortion', without taking the life of the mother into consideration"...This line goes hard for me. Wish they could've just worded it a little more accuartely and even a bit morbidly, if need be, for the point to take effect. For example, that sentence would have sounded just as hypocritical as it should've, had it been worded like so; "Some Women not only wish to permit, but to openly promote and advocate for, MURDER of Men's Rights and their Own Children!!!" Yeah, the maniacally malevolent, maliciously misguided, medically monstrous, moronically manifested, mathematical manslaughter & mutilations of many millions of miniature men and women, maintained by more mysteriously manipulative, miraculously melancholic, democratically myopic, and "Socratically Demagogic", man-hating Miss', Mrs'., Madames, and Mistresses, has been goin on for so long that they've gotten most "rational laymen" to believe that just the 500,000+ Abortions performed, solely by Planned Parenthood and Affiliates, is not only "Normal", but "Ethical" and "Okay", since "We have a population issue/climate crisis"!!! What the hell world? No wonder folks fake their death to go live in the hidden continental getaways that are south of the several places we would commonly call "Antarctica"!!! It suvks being smart around dumb people and its even harder being du,b around smart people. Might as well just be both at once and please everybody that isn't you so that you can finally be happy, right?...wait, idk...nvrmnd

    Whenever I listen to this song I envision myself being a live singer at a bar and having various different conversations/connecting with a variety of different people and having everyone tell me of their troubles outside of the bar and in their actual lives. Watching me perform/hearing these songs and sharing stories of their life gives them an amazing escape from their own lonely lives to all experience this music together. It helps them and it helps me as a singer knowing I'm impacting these people and all while also helping myself in a way. A time for us all to escape whatever we're going through and live in the moment together through music.

    "He said 'Bill, I believe this is killing me...' as the smile ran away from his face... 'Well I'm sure that I could be a movie star - if I could get out of this place...' ." That part hits me the most because it makes me think of all of those people stuck in addictions, domestic violence, etc. who are imprisoned mentally, emotionally and physically by their addictions or a tyrannical partner.. People lost in darkness... People who could otherwise do amazing things with their lives if given the chance...

      So did lots of people ( use this for a cover0. What exactly do you mean by 'cover'? Does this song get sung by you doing the vocals or what? What in the HELL are you talking about? "Cover," sounds like you're in camoflauge or something. Grow up. Spell it out. Say what you mean. Not everyone talks the jargon bullshit you seem to. Try some simple communication. Let us konw what you do, what a cover is. That's all. Sign me, b.franc, b. or if you wanna get very zen about it, Just b.

    Thro’ the ghoul-guarded gateways of slumber,
    Past the wan-moon’d abysses of night,
    I have liv’d o’er my lives without number,
    I have sounded all things with my sight;
    And I struggle and shriek ere the daybreak, being driven to madness with fright.
    I have whirl’d with the earth at the dawning,
    When the sky was a vaporous flame;
    I have seen the dark universe yawning,
    Where the black planets roll without aim;
    Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.
    I had drifted o’er seas without ending,
    Under sinister grey-clouded skies
    That the many-fork’d lightning is rending,
    That resound with hysterical cries;
    With the moans of invisible daemons that out of the green waters rise.
    I have plung’d like a deer thro’ the arches
    Of the hoary primordial grove,
    Where the oaks feel the presence that marches
    And stalks on where no spirit dares rove;
    And I flee from a thing that surrounds me, and leers thro’ dead branches above.
    I have stumbled by cave-ridden mountains
    That rise barren and bleak from the plain,
    I have drunk of the fog-foetid fountains
    That ooze down to the marsh and the main;
    And in hot cursed tarns I have seen things I care not to gaze on again.
    I have scann’d the vast ivy-clad palace,
    I have trod its untenanted hall,
    Where the moon writhing up from the valleys
    Shews the tapestried things on the wall;
    Strange figures discordantly woven, which I cannot endure to recall.
    I have peer’d from the casement in wonder
    At the mouldering meadows around,
    At the many-roof’d village laid under
    The curse of a grave-girdled ground;
    And from rows of white urn-carven marble I listen intently for sound.
    I have haunted the tombs of the ages,
    I have flown on the pinions of fear
    Where the smoke-belching Erebus rages,
    Where the jokulls loom snow-clad and drear:
    And in realms where the sun of the desert consumes what it never can cheer.
    I was old when the Pharaohs first mounted
    The jewel-deck’d throne by the Nile;
    I was old in those epochs uncounted
    When I, and I only, was vile;
    And Man, yet untainted and happy, dwelt in bliss on the far Arctic isle.
    Oh, great was the sin of my spirit,
    And great is the reach of its doom;
    Not the pity of Heaven can cheer it,
    Nor can respite be found in the tomb:
    Down the infinite aeons come beating the wings of unmerciful gloom.
    Thro’ the ghoul-guarded gateways of slumber,
    Past the wan-moon’d abysses of night,
    I have liv’d o’er my lives without number,
    I have sounded all things with my sight;
    And I struggle and shriek ere the daybreak, being driven to madness with fright.

    Esta es la historia de un sábado
    De no importa qué mes why
    De un hombre sentado al piano
    De no importa que viejo café.
    Toma el vaso why le tiemblan las manos
    Apestando entre humo why sudor
    Why se agarra a su tabla de náufrago
    Volviendo a su eterna canción.
    ...
    Toca otra vez viejo perdedor
    Haces que me sienta bien
    Es tan triste la noche que tu canción
    Sabe a derrota why a miel.
    Cada vez que el espejo de la pared
    Le devuelve más joven la piel
    Se le encienden los ojos
    Why su niñez viene a tocar junto a él.
    Pero siempre hay borrachos con babas
    Que le recuerdan quién fue
    El más joven maestro al piano
    Vencido por una mujer.
    ...
    Ella siempre temió echar raices
    Que pudieran sus alas cortar
    Why en la jaula metida la vida se le iba
    Why quiso sus fuerzas probar.
    No lamenta que dé malos pasos
    Aunque nunca desea su mal
    Pero a ratos con furia golpea el piano
    Why hay algunos que le han visto llorar.
    ...
    Toca otra vez viejo perdedor
    Haces que me sienta bien
    Es tan triste la noche que tu canción
    Sabe a derrota why a miel.
    El micrófono huele a cerveza
    Why el calor se podría cortar
    Solitarios, oscuros, buscando pareja
    Apurándose un sábado más.
    Hay un hombre aferrado a un piano
    La emoción empapada en alcohol
    Why una voz que le dice; pareces cansado
    Why aún no ha salido ni el sol.

    Aunque nunca desea su mal
    Pero a ratos con furia golpea el piano
    Y hay algunos que le han visto llorar
    La, la-ra-ra-ra
    La-ra-ra, la-ra-ra, la-ra-ra
    Toca otra vez, viejo perdedor
    Haces que me sienta bien
    Es tan triste la noche que tu canción
    Sabe a derrota y a miel
    El micrófono huele a cerveza
    Y el calor se podría cortar
    Solitarios, oscuros, buscando pareja
    Apurándose un sábado más
    Hay un hombre aferrado a un piano
    La emoción empapada en alcohol
    Y una voz que le dice: "pareces cansado
    Y aún no ha salido ni el sol"
    La, la-ra, la-ra-ra
    La-ra-ra, la-ra-ra, la-ra-ra
    Toca otra vez, viejo perdedor
    Haces que me sienta bien
    Es tan triste la noche que tu canción
    Sabe a derrota y a miel

    I always find these music arrangements of these Karoke tracks way off key. Listen to this ! and then listen to billy joel himself totally a different key! sorry but this sucks!!
