- D!Edith is a brand new modded character that introduces a character similar to Edith that went unused in the famous Antibirth mod. D!Edith moves around by hopping and is able to perform larger jumps which also damage enemies upon landing.

This one is actually the coolest character in Isaac, i love the synergys and the goofy potencial.
this feels very base game-y. so many modded characters are either boring or needlessly complicated, and almost all of them dont compliment their own mechanics nearly as well as this. The additional abilities like charging up Brimstone while moving, free curse rooms, and bomb dropping dont feel like additional mechanics- rather, they feel like polished accomodations and features for the character and allow for different playstyles without being overpowered or underpowered. kudos to the mod dev(s), 10/10!
They did it! They made a fun Edith. It seems that she took notes from V1 too 6:36 .
At this point i lost all hope for Edith being real in Isaac so I'll gladly take a mod instead

I was interested by the mechanics of jumping and bomb dropping, but the rocket riding is what sold me. It's clear a lot of love and effort was put into this character to have a synergy *that* cool - not to mention all the other unique synergies.

I know this is meant to be a unique take on the unused character but this feels more playable than they ever would've been lol
idk why watching edith move around via little hops brings me ao much joy but i love it
the rocket ridding MAY be a reference to rocket riding in ultrakill but maybe not
i've seen a bunch of ideas for edith but this is by far my favourite

It's cool and all, but I wish they would turn down or remove the sound on the hopping, it's really annoying.
I wish there was just a separate option to turn it down, cause I like it tbh. I'm sure they could do something in the menu with like a slide bar
mod director here, later today there will be a small patch with an option to lower the sound of the hops amongst other bug fixes. Thank you for suggesting this!

It’s been a long time since I’ve actually dropped my jaw at an Isaac video. The rocket ride is just so sick.
Though I think the brimstone jump synergy is a bit too strong, I think the brimstone ball ie: forgotten with brim would work well for leaving a high damage dot after you land. I am also curious if flat stone messes with jumping over pits.
I would like to see more mods on the isaac guru web, like tainted treasure items, such a great web you made~!

Epic fetus synergy is the craziest edith synergy, i mean, she just dunks a f🎉cking ROCKET at enemies!(will edith dunk bomb with dr. Fetus simillary to rpic fetus?)
for some reaosn i am so fascinated by Edith, i can't explai nwhy, thoguh, it's like a weird combo aesthetically of Eden and Apollyon, two of my favorite characters

While I don't think it's necessary given how much more mobile this take on Edith is, I do think it would have been neat if they had given her Edith's planned active item (caused fear in an area around the player) to give you some more wiggle room

yep but they are weaker
I kinda hate the "scrapped but recycled" stuff in repentance, just think how cool edith would be as a character but it was recycled in tainted forgotten, i wish we could have both of them

...and so is the Birthright effect, I guess.
none of those synergies are ultrakill references. the birthright is a reference to Tainted Edith (The Begrudged) from the Edith Repentance Port, and the rocket riding was just something cool we wanted to make.

the "D!" means this is another creator's interpretation of Edith. It's similar to how there's a lot of sonics to choose from in SRB2. According to another reply, that D stands for Doodledude_, who made this.
The sound of hopping is too annoying. I'm tired after 2 minutes of video.
Mod creator said they have a patch to have the ability to disable the sound coming soon
