Del Sol Valley features three main areas, being The Pinnacles, which has three lots, Mirage Park, which also has three lots, and finally Starlight Boulevard, which has a total of five lots.

It's kinda sad, but in the Mirage Park area, at the end of the alley under the freeway overpass, you can see a couple of homeless tents. I didn't notice them for a long time.
just booted up my game to check this out! there are four tents in total, all color swatches from the camping pack. i wonder if they're available in the live edit debug for Get Famous
That need to be made into an actual lot. A new lot type : Habitable non-residential or Squat. Your Sim can live there. Random townies also live there.
Advantage : Free to «buy», no bill.
Disadvantage : Little to no privacy, shared with several homeless Sims, off the grid and no sanitation.

The fact that we could’ve had a Santa Monica-esque beachside area with apartments.
This is definitely a disappointment when I think about it. Would have been perfect for this map and really rounded out the world entirely.
Especially when considering that we can actually see the waterfront of Del Sol Valley while looking over the city from The Pinnacles...
In case you didn't know, you can pick up all the celebrity tiles and sell them through the mutiselect tool in your sim's inventory for $500 a piece. And the best part is that the tiles that come with the pack do respawn so you can do it all again the next day for some quick cash.

It's worth noting that the community lot neighborhood is a perfect place to start a Rags to Riches challenge, because bulldozing any of the community lots reveals that the land that they're built on has a §0 cost! And paying nothing for the land itself is definitely a plus for more penny-pinching Sims!
It is possible to just change the lot type from whatever to residential ?
There are already homeless Sims in the world. It would be nice to be able to have your Sim be homeless. Create your Sim, select a park instead of a residential lot, have your funds automatically drop to §0, call the park «home».
@@Kualinaryes, any of the commercial lots can be changed to residential!

I love that little park in the residential neighborhood but only utilize it when I have a sim living in that area. I also use TOOL to place dumpsters in the alleyways so sims sometimes dumpster dive and make that area a little more "alive."

I think del solvalley could be a lot better if the beach area had been real 😢
Del Sol Valley, or where I witnessed the most Sims freezing to death. Where random townies casually take a stroll wearing their swimwear when the temperature is freezing. My record was three deaths between Sunset and midnight... 5 days in a row.👻
That park in Mirage Park is one of the nicest and most family friendly in the game. In my game, it's also the place where the most townies came to freeze to death, wearing their swim wear in freezing weather.
Living for all of this chaos. Sounds like a family friendly park with a dark secret lol.
I believe ALL lots in Starlight Boulevard cost §0! I once bulldozed the ugly museum and built a skyscraper in its place :D Pretty cool place for a sim to live in, hah

I put an apartment down in Mirage Park, and my celebrity started out there in a modified version of the "Rags to Riches" challenge. (She lives in the Pinnacles now....and she's married to Kyle Kyleson. Yeah, she makes great life choices, doesn't she?) But I wish we got some more neighborhoods here...like that beach area on the map.

Booted up my game to test what my fellow commenters were yapping about and yes, the lots in Starlight Boulevard are the grand total of ZERO Simoleans. I would bet money this is simply just oversight because the The Sims was in its flop era at the time, but I think it'd be a funny headcanon that the lots are worthless because of arbitrary zoning laws or were built in a flood zone 🤣🤣 shii definitely happens in real life, that's for sure.

Del Sol Valley can be a fun place for celebrity gameplay, especially if you have a Sim in the acting career, but the nickname Del Smol Valley didn't come outta nowhere...

You forgot to mention, no fishing spots anywhere.....
The Park is also great because it has lots of harvestables, so can complete a few of the nature aspirations. My measure of a world is, Can you do base game aspirations without leaving? (Which is why San Myshuno is VIP for me, you can easily do a BG/CL supersim in that world, because its so well rounded in terms of skill building and completing aspirations) Unfortunately most dont have enough spawning spots, but this park neighbourhood was Del Sol Valley's saving grace 🙏

I think one of the graffiti pieces in the alleyway is actually from get together! Unsurprising that they used other pack assets, but cool nonetheless
this world had a lot of potential, sad that its not fleshed out. i think a save file revamping it would do so much
