This is based on Anglo Indian community they did indeed dress like this. Atleast from the 70s
First of all this is the Anglo Indian community , there are different communities in India each with their own uniqueness. India is such a diverse country but sadly only certain communities get the global and even domestic recognition.

Archie comics have been one of the important part of my childhood. seeing it getting adapted in India is like a dream come true. i see on social media Americans commenting and calling it a better adaptation of the characters rather then the American adaption(Riverdale)...this is like a huge compliment. if a American comic book is adapted in Indian style, n still the American calls it better adaptation then the American version ...then that means that the makers have already won half of the game...can't wait for this . n personally me being a huge fan of the Archies, I also feel that this is the most faithful live adaption of the characters. the American version Riverdale is good...but this Indian version looks so much faithful to the comics.

This was a lot of research and observation of the Anglo Indian community. I loved the mention of ‘kulkuls’ and ‘salty fish pickle’😊 In my family we actually ask for these 2 items. 😊 Enjoyed the movie thoroughly.

Everyone saying not realistic, superheroes movies aren’t realistic as well. It’s for entertainment guys, why are you crying like a poor 😅 Even I haven’t had such upbringing, but for acting and entertainment Im gonna watch something different than the so relatable “gangs of wasseypur” where cheap gaali galoch is so common and is full of violence and crime, unfortunately you people give high ratings to such series for what? Obviously for acting not relatability, lol.

They should then release this in a country where people's childhood is reflective of such an elite life.. i doubt most of us in India grew up like this... Not at all relatable. Also very few teens read Archies comics.. like a miniscule number.. Kahan relate kar payengey ?
