Linklight showcases the workshop for Rivals of Aether which gives you access to custom new characters or mods! In this video I check out Dr. Melee Mario, a melee version of Dr. Mario designed from the ground up for Rivals of Aether. Really awesome character. I had a ton of fun with this one.

Idk if you know about it, but some characters have the Munophone, and it lets you access to tips for the characters, their frame data, and all sorts of things if you taunt in the practice mode.
Those icons at the left side indicate it. The green square thingy, that indicates that the character has a Munophone.

You can interact with the pills with every single special move! Not just the cape. Smash attacks also interact with the pills!

You can also interact with the pill using smash/strong attacks and all specials
e.g. down b grabs the pill and throws it up, forward smash/strong freezes the pill for extra stacking

The main thing that inspired me to check out rivals of Aether was Ronald McDonald (specifically your and alpharad’s videos on him), and I’ve been enjoying myself playing the game. I’m currently developing a character that I’m hoping people will enjoy playing as. Though it might be a while before it happens as I’m learning as I go. I still have no idea how meter-based attacks are made yet 😅

Answering the question at about 12:08, watching your videos and character analysis has always been a really good experience to me, so I concinced my friend to buy it on Steam as well, and so we bought it yesterday when the sale began and played for like 8 hours straight. From the brief experience playing it myself, I can already say tha5 Rivals is a great game, and if you are interested you should totally go pick it up right now, it’s half off on Steam

I'd totally be down to see a video assembling the full Smash roster! However I think some of the more obscure characters like Corrin won't exist on the workshop.

Hmm, I was hoping he would have a unique moveset that turns his fighting style into a puzzle game itself. Dr Mario in Melee was always super boring to me. The pills having different properties is really cool, but considering he had to be made from scratch for Rivals of Aether, I was expecting more than that.
