  • Silvercrest Bladeless Desk Fan from Lidl - Unboxing and Review of an Affordable Bladeless Fan
    In this video, I unbox and review this £30 bladeless fan from Lidl that's marketed as a desk fan but I suspect for many people it will work as a general-purpose fan.
    Shot with the amazing compact camera DJI Osmo Pocket 3 that you can get from Amazon:
    amzn.to/3xE7DpS
    or directly from DJI:
    click.dji.com/AKjfM1BUA-9yZN7...
    The audio was recorded with the DJI Mic 2 which you can get in the Osmo Pocket 3 creator bundle or separately on Amazon: amzn.to/3W0vM33. It's an excellent microphone.

    hi mate does it blow colder air than a regular fan? and is it worth getting over the lidl air cooler?

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před měsícem

      Do you mean the little coolers that work with cold water? I have one of those and it's pretty good if you change the water every hour or so. If you don't it's like a worse fan, and the cotton strips used to bring the water up get moldy fast. The bladeless fan doesn't have a cooling function besides moving air around but i still use it in a room where I have no AC, while the little cooler stays in a box somewhere

    my question is: is it hard to clean the fan when dust also can get in? and how much distance can you get the fresh air from it?

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před měsícem

      You can feel it blow 4, maximum 5 meters away. I'd say 3m is the swwt spot. There are regular Philips screws on the bottom of the device, that can be used to easily disassemble it if it accumulates too much dust, I don't know if that voids the warranty tho. Considering we're talking about lidl it probably won't be a problem

    Bought the Tower fan, what number would you advise for sleeping as need the room cool also is it hard on electricity?Many Thanks

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před měsícem

      The tower fan draws 35V at max power, that's like having only one or two LED lightbulbs on. As for sleeping, try the quiet setting, if that doesn't work gradually increase the power until it's enough. As with every cooling device, it's a balancing act between how much noise you can tolerate, how hot is the weather and how big the room you're trying to cool is

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I'm pretty happy with it, it's not as good as a conventional fan but it takes a lot less space and I like the design way more.

      @@reviewstodid you by any chance compare it to Dyson bladeless?

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před měsícem

      @@VictorZucchini Dyson doesn't really offer a comparable alternative, their closest model would be the AM07 Tower fan but that's more in the category of lidl's tower fan. The dyson is definitely better, but from what i've experienced that's mainly expressed in material quality, so it feels nicer and it will probably last longer. Not surprising, considering the lidl tower fan costs about £80 while the dyson is £380. I'll definitely do a comarison if i get my hands on one.

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před 2 měsíci

      If I'm not mistaken, it was on sale from the 30th, of last month, so there still might be fans left in some stores, for the UK that is. It's a new summer product, so I'm sure they'll bring it back soon

    its this better than a normal ventilator?

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před měsícem

      Not really. It takes less space and it looks nicer but a cheap conventional fan will do the same or better job cooling, depending on the size.

    What to do about the E6 error it gives?

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před měsícem

      I think it indicates problem with air flow, fixing it yourself will probably void the warranty. There could be a lot of things causing that and the fan has not been out long enough, so i can't really point out a common point of failure. I'd say, just return it to Lidl

    Why buy these bladeless fans ? Any remote ? Does it have better air flow than a real fan ??

    • @reviewsto
      @reviewsto  Před měsícem

      this specific fan doesn't have a remote, the bigger tower fan has one. I'd say a regular fan has marginally better air flow. I think most people, including me, buy them because they look cool

      yeah, the big one is expensive, the one in this video is the middle-sized and there's one even smaller, that's actually suitable for a regular-sized desk. They're more expensive than regular fans, noisier, and don't cool as much. There's not much reason to get them unless you really like their gimmick
