I wish 2k had national squads and you can select your country when you build your player/you can get selected for national tournaments. I understand that it's a lot of work but a company of 2k's caliber should be able to make this work.

You go on to join Team USA’s 19U team and dominate the competition to win a Gold Medal. After your performance for the Young Men’s National Team, you receive a letter from Coach Pop and Coach Spo to come play for the Team USA Men’s National team alongside NBA Superstars like Lebron James, Steph Curry, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and Kevin Durant. The coaches and the players inform you that you are going to get limited minutes and to just learn from them where you can. In your friendly match against another country, the team throws you into the starting lineup where you perform so poorly that the players and coaches kick you off of the team. Your Family’s Home Country calls you up from the Olympic Committee and asks you to join their team as you have maintained your eligibility and you join them seeking vengeance against the players and coaches who so badly offended you by kicking you off the team and ridiculing you for your poor performance. Set off to prove everyone wrong you tear your way through the competition taking your team to the Olympic Gold Medal Final game against Team USA where you dominate only to suffer another injury in the final 10 seconds of the game. You go into the draft as the consensus #1 pick based off of potential alone but your injury scares GMs away, causing you to fall to the 2nd Round where you are drafted signed by the Miami Heat and Coach Spo. Coach Spo who witnessed everything that has happened the last year of your career with everything that happened with Team USA and your injury history has doubts in your talent and ability to stay healthy and asks you to prove yourself in the G-League before moving you up to the NBA roster. Signed to a 2-Way contract you ball out for both squads through your rookie season and win ROTY for both the NBA and the NBA G-League as well as G-League MVP to begin your NBA journey to stardom. The problem is belive comes from the NBA Association. They dont want to be on the same position that FIBA. player are not allowed to leave their NBA team during season for their national teams. Because the nba dont allowe it. So the problem comes from the system itself. That is the biggest difference with Football Association (Soccer).
