It was a super close fight but I had Gamrot winning by a hair. Maybe the crowd influenced the judges slightly but it was no robbery. They won't do a rematch but it would be a fun fight to run back.
Had the exact same thoughts as Volk regarding the main fight. Round 3 was excellent for Izzy. DDP looked hurt, it looked like the body shots had started taking their toll. Izzy looked composed and was hiding any sort of tiredness well. Then round 4 started and as it inched forward, it looked like both men were a bit more tired and hurt than they led on. DDP dug deep, landed some good punches and found the opening when he saw Izzy turn his back and retreat. “Killer instinct” kicked in and he got Izzy exactly where he wanted him and finished the job quite “easily”. Good fight and a defining one for both men.
I was glad to see a measure of accountability for bad judging. So often I've watched the bouts and followed the play-by-play on MMA Junkie, and I'm left wondering if the judges were watching the same fight we were.
Volk says he "always knew there was respect there" between izzy and DDP which is just completely false. Imagine Izzy's reaction if he had won. 0 respect would have been shown from Izzy if that was the case lets not kid outselves.

Surprisingly decision especially for tuivasa...and the best fight is gamrot vs hooker....but the decision should be gamrot by decision or at least a draw.

I totally agree with you Volk. Dan Hookers performance was great. Huge pressure he put on his opponent. What a great fight. Kai was awesome. At the end it’s nice to see Izzy and DDP respect each other and in good spirit.

Izzy needs the dog in Hooker. What a brut… so much improved. Dan is the man . I picked DDP and not by chance but i know he was much more well rounded with his ground game and submission .. i stated DDp by submission .

It was a super close fight but I had Gamrot winning by a hair. Maybe the crowd influenced the judges slightly but it was no robbery. They won't do a rematch but it would be a fun fight to run back.

Had the exact same thoughts as Volk regarding the main fight. Round 3 was excellent for Izzy. DDP looked hurt, it looked like the body shots had started taking their toll. Izzy looked composed and was hiding any sort of tiredness well. Then round 4 started and as it inched forward, it looked like both men were a bit more tired and hurt than they led on. DDP dug deep, landed some good punches and found the opening when he saw Izzy turn his back and retreat. “Killer instinct” kicked in and he got Izzy exactly where he wanted him and finished the job quite “easily”. Good fight and a defining one for both men.

People saying Gamrot won because he had some control time and take downs obviously didn't see the amount of times dan had Gamrot stumbling and diving for takedowns
