S2E1 plot summary from the IMDB: "We are catching up from where Mark, Dylan, Helly and Irving left off. Now they are escaping into the real world outside of their corporate cubicles and trying to free themselves from capitalist tutelage."
Those numbers in computers is the most unique thing I have even seen, whole environment of the office is just a different feeling, very excited to see what the truth will be now

Ive been waiting for too long
Maybe you could double or triple sever someone. So that in different offices there are different working personas. Maybe train them early on to say and do certain things. Maybe that is what is going to happen to our 4 characters so as to keep them employed at lumen but without a backlash from their findings and interventions

I’m gonna guess that that it was some memory of Mark’s outer self of the severance surgery, or Mark’s inner self undergoing a preventative procedure that has safeguards against what happened in the season one finale.

Looks like the Break Room but he's his outie. I wonder if he integrates to infiltrate Lumon for a resistance organization? I fully thought that's what Helly was doing in Season 1 before I found out who she was.
this all but confirms my theory that they'd just wipe their memories of what they learned while out and irvs plan to use his dreams and lack of sleep/memorizing the bad door to bridge the gap to his innie by falling asleep and dreaming an 'outtie' dream that he's forcing w lack of sleep and constantly painting the red door to avoid

Why would outtie Mark go back to Lumen? I'm guessing he wants to see if Gemma is really alive. But what would motivate the other 3 to return, assuming they do? And thanks so much for the slo mo. The balloons, the wires, Milchick -- I am dying to know it all!

Leads are surely for some diagnostic testing to see if his innie has any recall of his experience of the outside world, presumably after he gets "re-severed", but what the hell could be going on with the washer and dryer in the conference room? Is he in his basement, conflating the outside world with a hospital bed/experimentation bed and/or the conference room table?
The balloons given to mark have marks face on them…well some out of the dozen he’s handed. Reminds me of the opening when Mark is walking with several severed versions of his innie in a balloon form. Too quick of a trailer for the 2 longest years of my life to make any more sense of it.
Its never been about 'whats really the work at lumon' its all just a way to integrate the concept of Severance in the town of Kier then the world and not to make them work or whatever but to engrain the 'kier beliefs' into them since kobel says its so much bigger than this etc it seems the red herring is stuff like them sorting the emotions etc, its just about seeing if they can wipe people then get them to start believing the kier way of life aka EXACTLY what happened to Irv, he was a total rebel on the outside who was a Kier worshipper as someone with no memory...
Lumon will get the world severed then wipe them all and insall kier values, guaranteed...

When asked about Severance season two, Adam Scott said our "patience doesn’t have to hold on too much longer" on May 1st to the Hollywood Reporter. Scott also said that the show will "finally be coming out in the somewhat near future."

You're right the trailer should just reveal and explain everything so you don't have to waste your time watching the show
Lol I also went straight to screen record when I saw this and went frame by frame to analyze the shit out of it.
Mark clearly has been reset, or at least lumon has attempted to reset him.
I doubt that. his outer self already wanted to quit and he told his sister about everything.
