Santa Cruz Lost Boys 😈
Thank you so much for doing the video is so interesting
You're very welcome. Only too glad to help!
Wasn't actually me I'm just joking.
Just done the patreon thing today it looks pretty awesome and I'm praying that Essex gets picked soon for TCTH... I'm feeling lucky!
Top5s how would Donnie Pennington be 85 years old if he was still alive????? If he went missing in March 2006 at 42 years of age that was just 16 years ago!!! He would be 58 now. I think your writer wrote this backwards.
There's one thing I hate about Santa Cruz.
All the damn vampires.

As a person who lives a few footsteps away from a massive forested area, it dawns on me from time to time of what could have gone on over the years. At nights it gets extremely eerie even, when you look outside it's so dark you can't see through the trees. Plus some animals can scream just like a human in pain like big cats in heat or foxes, makes me get goosebumps when I hear it on quieter nights. 😬
Lol I remember those days, sure it’s spooky but it’s also majestic as well. Forests be creepy but awesome at the same time.
If only trees could talk.
@@Luke-bk8hc - If the trees could talk then we would have history re-written that's for sure. Imagine the stories they could tell.
I’d LOVE IT ❤️🧡💛💚💙🤎🤍🖤💜❣️💕💞💓💗💟💝💘💖
@@R4G3FULL ~ Majestic during the day & creepy at night 🤣
The fact that it took Natalie's boyfriend a month to report her missing only made it all the more obvious he was responsible for her murder as soon as you mentioned that i knew straight away it was him.
Exactly!
Yup. Textbook guilty behavior.
If he's that violent I'm wondering if he's the one that killed his brother and that's why he wanted his dad to stop the investigation maybe that's why he went a little off mentally not being able to handle what he did
Exactly what I’m thinking!! Very suss behavior!

how very NPC of you to say that
I hit the lights, sat back but it's nearly 11.30am, so .... it's just not as eerie in daylight.
Yet still as interesting. Great stuff.👻👻👻
Lol you are so silly
Lmao
For Donnie's case, I feel like they should search any nearby bodies of water for his car.
Think he walked to his friends so wasn't in a car
There are no phone boxes at all now in U.K.(let alone red ones)
Some are used for defibrillators. Or the vandalised ones are used for toilets. Shame, I always think what happens if you get mugged and beaten up.
Or you break down in your car and your phone's battery is dead. BRING BACK PHONE BOXES.
YES! Bring back the phone booths/ pay phones! I've been in that position so many times where my phone is dead/won't charge.
Not that it matters greatly tho still Plenty here in N. Ireland 184 red ones still in service last count
NO! 😆
There are absolutely phone boxes ??
I so agree♥️ - thank you for the shout out 👍
"Hit those lights, sit back and enjoy." These words and his voice 😍 will keep me coming back for as long as this channel exists.
Excellent work but it's depressing how many young women are slaughtered and no one is held accountable.
Young men, too.
@@matthewmosier8439 theres always one
You know it's not just women right? men and children too.
How many wars have men being needlessly slaughtered because of political BS ..... Not just women. How men commit suicide Vs women? How about some care on that subject
You write “no one is held accountable” as if we knew who was slaughtering them. I’m pretty much all of these cases, we don’t know who the perpetrator(s) are. What’s your solution? If you know of, and have concrete evidence to tie ANY murderer to their crime, speak up.
Ah yes. How I have missed these sort of videos, especially TCTH 😊 Keep up the excellent work 👍🏼
Transplante de Células-Tronco Hematopoéticas? I looked up the acronym and found this. 🤣
Totally agree ❤️
These videos are amazing. I've been watching them probably since 2015 or earlier. It's part of what inspired me to open my own CZcams channel.
If the missing gentleman from Gafnee SC was 42 in 2006, how would he be in his 80s 16 years later? I live near there and it's a kinda strange place, but not that strange.
Think he just mixed the numbers up. He’d be 58 now. He said 85. 58 85
I said the exact same thing
I figured I couldn't have been the only one who called that.
I live in Preston. I love that Traffic on the M6 was mentioned. So apt.
Wow! I live just an hour or so from Gaffney and never knew any of this! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm not able to be a patrion member...but if you ever want to hear some more spooky stuff from South Carolina check out Abbeville!! Full of history and ghosts!!❤
Georgetown County, SC is well known for having many hauntings also. Honestly almost anywhere you go in the state there's some haunted history.
@@seanconnell3414 ikr it gets crazier when the moon strikes the back of that gravestone and phenomenon of lifted towards a mouse 🐁
Winnsboro, SC here. I’m pretty interested to see this in person now. Gaffney is not too far from me.
There’s a church in chester, SC you may also be interested in. I can’t remember the name of the church. I seen it on a documentary on here
Brattonsville and Tillman Hall at Winthrop in Rock Hill are some of my favorite haunted spots.

Ahh, Santa Cruz. Spent a lot of time there over the years, still have friends who live up in Ben Lomond. I'd never heard of the Boulder Creek case, or I'd forgotten about it. Friggin' "Hill People", man... 😉
What can I say top 5s you've done it again!! Brilliant video 👍🏼😊
I grew up body surfing at Santa Cruz in the 60s and 70s. We lived in Palo Alto, and drove highway 17, the "Death Highway", to get there. It was a very winding two lane road that people were always racing each other and having accidents. It was considered to be violently haunted from hundreds of accidents. My neighbor friend across the street went over highway 17 with her date for a dinner, and they had a terrible accident, their convertible flying off the road and landing upside down on them. They were almost killed, but both survived somehow, but had to have a ton of plastic surgery. My friend had been a really beautiful teen, just perfect, and her face was so torn up they took out every mirror in the house to keep her from freaking out at the sight of herself. I visited her once and even though my mom worked at the hospital, I was not prepared to see her like that. Everyone who knew her, all of us, became incredibly careful drivers after that, it was unbearable to see someone in so much pain for months and months. She had so many surgeries. I think she is very beautiful now, she also became very serious and kind, married the guy who was with her and they had two wonderful boys and opened a flower shop together in Palo Alto, on University Avenue (right near the Mrs. Field's cookie shop, the first one)...I got married and moved to Texas, but I am still, in my 60s, a very careful driver, not scared, but I always expect anything, and its saved me over and over. I always drive a heavy truck for extra safety, which also came in handy when someone slammed into me at a stoplight, at 40 mph. I was only bruised from the seatbelt, but the frame of the truck was bent and broke from the collision. I was lucky, and I knew it. If you drive, remember to be aware of other idiots at all times. Most people drive as though they laying on a couch watching tv at home. They pay no attention to anything but their phones a lot of times. Just take care of yourselves. Also, do not go surfing at Santa Cruz! There are many huge seals out there, and they would play with us in the water, but can be territorial and dangerous, and, we didn't know then that great whites came in close to shore all the time to get a tasty seal for snacks. We had been told that great whites didn't swim in cold water (Santa Cruz water is in the fifties), and boy were they wrong!! The movie JAWS scared most of us away after it came out. We learned more from that movie about sharks than anyone had ever known, and it wasnt that fun anymore, even though there are still a lot of surfers there. There have been 8 to 10 shark attacks there, since the 1920s, so it's not a massacre, but if you run into a 20 foot shark, it's probably because now sharks breed there and at Monterey bay. I guess it's really true that we weren't coddled by our parents in those days. They were usually too busy to care what we were doing, so to them, swimming with seals and sharks, or drinking from a hose, was considered normal. They were working their butts off when the recession and gas crisis slammed into California, and drank and smoked more than you could believe just to deal, they felt we were supposed to not just have brains, but to use them. For us, it worked...
Wow welcome back! This a great surprise, I'm so excited to watch this
Wait id love become a member just to hear my too close to home story. I know the perfect one too. My friend brother murdered someone here in houston in the 80's, or the Katrina stonecipher case, that was my sisters friend, I remember her coming over the night before she was killed.
I definitely would like to hear more about these 2 stories. Please share more info.
Charles Lindbergh. Not Lindenbergh. Great video! I love these! Well done 👏
Stop nitpicking lol
I have passed that giant peach a few times, traveling up and down the East Coast to visit family. Most times, my husband and I pull off the highway there and get some shut eye at a hotel nearby. But that peach is freaking iconic. ☺️
Most of The Birds was fillmed a couple hours north of Santa Cruz, at Bodega Bay.
The Winchester House isn't that far from Santa Cruz in San Jose, and the haunted Toys R Us in Sunnyvale is pretty close, as well.
Please do more!
I love to sit back and relax, hearing your vids on everything.
Good morning /Good night Top5 peeps! 👋🏾💤
Good morning from Me.

@@Luke-bk8hc Good morning, I’m watching while I go to bed (6:33 US time). 🥱
@@impliedwisdom I wish I had slept. Insomnia got me last night. Now I'm tired and it's 12.00pm. I need to move to Australia to get my sleep back in sync.
@@impliedwisdom 6.33am??? Why ae you up so early/late
The story about Janet makes me so mad because three separate people could have tried to intervene, yet none of them did. Guy chasing a woman down the street? Totally normal. Hear a woman's muffled screams followed by a guy creeping around the bushes? That checks out, too. *slaps forehead* People suck. You certainly can't depend on the kindness of strangers.
The best we can do is be aware of our surroundings, and be mindful of who we surround ourselves with.
@@FC-ku4ez you're absolutely right. Although I've been in situations where I've thought someone needed help, and I at least asked them if they're ok or I called the authorities. I guess it just seems disheartening.
@@maryk8509 Yes, true. I try to do the same, but I've noticed that sometimes people who are being victimized don't want to anger the abuser more, and may even lash out at others trying to help. I usually call in a disturbance just in case, even if just to have a record of it.
Um, getting involved in something sketchy is a great way to get killed and sued for harassment/assault. A guy chasing a woman down the street could be a lover's quarrel. The best you can do is report it.
@@blainefiasco8225 I never said intervening meant not calling the authorities and handling everything yourself. However, I've seen people get attacked and I won't stand by idly and watch it happen, if I can help it. Fuck that.
nice work as always top5s.
Wow, that was excellent. Thanks!
Beginning to think Top 5s has disappeared too

Love TCTH I'm going to go on patreon today as I'd love to see Essex, England to be featured. We have a famous haunted witches House called 'the cage's Britain's oldest town
,Colchester where boudicca once lived. On the edge of Suffolk is Borley rectory etc...teeming with history here. No.1 fan here
I too am from England.
We have lots of old buildings and ruins that have dark histories.
Pubs, prisons, hospitals, mental asylums, graveyards. We have a long recorded history. We must be 1 of the most haunted countries.
I'm off to Google that...
@@Luke-bk8hc what did you come up with on Google my yt pal?
@@AbsolutelyBats I have seen stuff moving in our kitchen when I was about 13 in our house in Romford Essex and loads of visitors to our house saw a black shadow person right where renovations were being done. I've just joined patreon today and it's very good! Loads of extra stuff on there. Recommended! X
You should check out deadbug says.
He's got some great content and even more on Patreon.
Hey Top5s. When you do another true crime video I think you should look into the murder of Meghan Landowski from Portsmouth Virginia. It's an interesting case that I think would make a great video. Her death was something that shocked us here in Virginia.
That’s terrible what the dad went through. Having a son pass away and then being attacked by your other son. Searching for your deceased child for so long only to be told by your other psychotic son to drop it. Refusing to press charges due to him being your son. That is the definition of having your world destroyed.
Georgetown and Pawley's Island, South Carolina have some absolutely spook-tacular ghost stories!
Thanks for the shout out. I grew up in Pawleys, definitely some haunted areas in Georgetown County. Old Gunn Church was always one people talked about when I was growing up. There was also this old horse barn with a living area on the top floor with bedrooms, kitchen etc that was abandoned in Pawleys that me and my friends used to explore in high school, I don't think many other people knew about the barn. We would experience some small stuff from time to time voices or noises we thought we heard. One day we built up enough courage to go into the pitch black basement with a flashlight. Almost as soon as we got down there we heard something move in the corner of the room and only caught a glimpse of a human sized figure with the flashlight before we ran the hell out of there. They ended up destroying the barn and the forest surrounding it to build Stables Park in the recent years.
@@seanconnell3414 we used to sneak out to Old Gunn church when I was a teenager. Lol ... Gotta love those ghost stories! That's why they put that fence around it, I'm sure, all of us going out there. Alice of the Hermitage in Murrell's Inlet is one of my favorite ghost stories ever. The Gray Man of Pawley's is probably most famous. I'm from Georgetown, and remember growing up hearing about the old brothel on Front Street that burned down. Rebuilt and very nice now, it's said to be extremely haunted by the spirits of the working girls who died in that fire.
@@GenXfrom75 Yep the old brothel is another one we used to hear about. And the age old argument, was Alice layed to rest at the Hermitage or at All Saints Church. Lol good times growing up in Georgetown County, wouldn't trade it for anything.
Scary stuff. Love your narration. The footage you get for these videos is incredible
Damn I should have mentioned the Snowtown - Bodies in a Barrel. It's actually brutal
I went on my honeymoon in Santa Cruz. The Mystery Spot is crazy weird and cool! Anyone who visits there should go!

It's a bit of a double edged sword with the missing son and the brother who attacked his father.
I can see both perspectives here. The brother just wants to leave sibling to rest and move on with life and his family..
But the ability to cope with continuing life while one of your children has gone missing must be one of the worst burdens to bear. 💔💐
