two different sources since have given a twist to the half-human theory.
1: in the Big Finish audio story "Apocalypse Element" after the Daleks invade Galifrey, the Doctor attempts to slow down the Daleks advance through the Capitol by deleting all Time Lord retina codes for the door locks (the Daleks used extracted eyes from wounded Chancellery Guard to open the doors) and program the retina of his companion Evelyn as the master key. At the end of the story he advises Evelyn not to stare too close, in case there are lingering effects of her retina access codes in the TARDIS.

My favourite? In "The Doctor's Wife" the Ponds are in a console room and about to be jettisoned by House. When the room is jettisoned... the Ponds are teleported to another console room. Why's this deep? In "Castrovalva" (1982), Tegan, Nyssa and a barely conscious Doctor have to jettison a quarter of the TARDIS to provide thrust to escape Event One. When Tegan realises the Console room might well be jettisoned, she frets and asks what happens if the console room is jettisoned. Unfortunately the Doctor's just passed out... I think the Doctor being half-Human on his mothers side is fine because Time Lords aren't born Time Lords (Aside from special circumstances like River) their made through a process developed by Rassilon, so not all Gallifreyans are Time Lords and vice versa not all Time Lords are Gallifreyan. Their is a precedent for a Human and Time Lord relationship as the Doctor's companion Leela a Human canonically got married to a Time Lord Andred.

This is when Jack says he was in the Time Agency, it's also when Demons Run was, Moldovian and the period in which River attended Lunar University, and served her time in the Stormcage prison, and also included presumably for a while the weapons factory that make squareness guns, and which the Doctor at some point blew up. I was confused by 11s reference to having the ability to regenerate 507 times in the SJA. After all, 13 was the number given in canon since the classic series. I figured it was a quick and nasty way to get writers out of a corner that classic Who writers had written them into decades earlier, not fully cognizant of the longevity of the show, or how many actors would actually play the part. But there was an important distinction within Clive's question: he asks "how many times can you do that?", not "how many lives do you have". It could be read that a time lord had the ability to regenerate 507 times, but that they artificially put a limit on it. And there's plenty of references in canon, both classic and new to support that idea, although it's technically all fan-fic until it's actually confirmed. 507 also seemed like a completely arbitrary number to me, and then I started wondering if it was, in fact, a multiple of 13. It seemed like it could be and, much to my surprise, when you divide 507 by 13, you get 39.... which, amazingly, is ALSO a multiple of 13 (39 ÷ 13 = 3). I figured that MUST have been deliberate. I'd be very surprised if it's not, even more surprised than the fact that that wasn't mentioned in this video! 😉😁

Also, there are a few, well, not exactly deep references, but easter eggs in some of the scenes shown in this video, like in The Timeless Children, when you see The Child aka The Other with Rassilon and Omega, they did cast an actor for Rassilon who resembled Don Warrington who voices the character on the audios. And the kid in the bed in Listen was cast based on an image of a young William Hartnell. Considering how Rassilon appears very briefly and we don't see the boy's face in Listen, I have to applaud the production team for going extra lenghts for these scenes even though they didn't need to.

Speaking of "The Silence In The Library"/"The Forest Of The Dead", another possible moment with a deeper meaning is River's conversation with Donna, who gets rather confrontational when River tries cryptically to explain that she knows the Doctor, to which Donna asks her where she herself is in the future, only for River to give her a downbeat glance. While most people intend this as a tragic foreshadow of how Donna will have her memory wiped at the Doctor's own hands after the Meta Crisis incident with Davros and the Daleks, it's also quite worthy to note that Donna does look somewhat similar to River's mother, Amy. And Amy herself is confrontational in "A Good Man Goes To War" when she forces her daughter to identify herself. It might not have occurred to Steven Moffat given how similar Catherine Tate and Karen Gillian look that Donna's bossy and confrontational attitude might have reminded River of her mother, whose death River was still trying to deal with.

      It’s also the attitude.
Honestly my ranking for companions is:
      Rory
      Donna
      Amy
      Sarah-Jane
      Ace

      Clara.
I honestly find it incredibly difficult to decide if Amy or Donna is favourite out of the two. I’ve weighed it up so many times.
      - Both don’t take nonsense from the Doctor or anyone else.
      - both are aggressive when they’re being defensive.
      - Both demonstrate the capability to take care of themselves.
      - Both are clever.
      - Both value the Doctor as the turning point in their lives.
      As for differences in character:
      - Amy is focused on Rory. Donna has her Granddad, but is more Doctor-focussed.
      - Donna generally has a more open sense of humour. Not to say that Amy doesn’t, but Donna was generally funnier.
      - Amy stared, but Donna didn’t when faced with a naked Doctor.
So, the way they get defensive is the same, as is the way they worry about others. They’re also very much independent women.
The only major reason why I prefer Donna over Amy is the same reason why Rory is at the top. Fantastic character development. Plus, Donna always felt more alive to me.
The upshot is that their personalities are a bit similar, even if their physical traits are different. Although the hair does play into it.
And, you don’t have to be identical to someone else for others to see bits of them in you. Because they only see *bits* of them in you.
My neighbour reminds me of the woman who played Harriet Jones. Doesn’t mean they’re the same, but I did have some amusement for a few years while the character was around.
And then there’s the biggest similarity - one which all companions share. They will leave eventually, and rarely be referred to again, even by their own Doctor.
So, River was probably thinking anywhere between the fact that one day each of them will be left behind, that the Doctor will be alone again until he finds someone else, remembering when she saw that happen, thinking about when it will be her turn, and when it will be Donna’s turn. Although she obviously recognised Donna’s name, too.
So, a giant stew pot. She doesn’t have to be thinking only one thing in that short moment. River is half Timelord, even if she gives up the ability to regenerate. She can probably think fast enough to cover all that ground.

"The best character..." Yes, obviously. Goes without saying.
An unaging Irishman? I had no idea I was in the show. I really need to finish up 13's era.
Moffitty woffity? I completely and unreservedly endorse the use of this phrase. Also, I am awe of the talent it takes to repeat Donna's weird rhymes.
Those were deeper than I thought. Also, weird thing, I'm getting older WhoCulture videos in my suggestions, videos I;ve already seen.
It's not a problem, I just thought it was weird. And of course I rewatched them. Thanks for the new ones. Keep up the good work.

All his stuff wasn't on board the TARDIS, unless Jack had a spare Vortex Manipulator, because he was using it prior to his reunion with the Doctor. He said, that he arrived in the 20th century, where this thing *pointing on his VM on his arm* broke and he got stuck in that time period and had to go the longer way, instead of jumping to the current Doctor at that time. Sure River could later get her hands on Jack's manipulator, as did Kate Stewart and few others ... I mean there is a scene, where she negotiated with Dorium Maldovar about a Vortex Manipulator taken out of a hand of a handsome Time Agent (presumably Jack), so yea. But all his things weren't in the TARDIS, when Jack was abandoned.

I pointed out this link (and had to explain it) when it first became apparent that the visions were the Doctor's - though this was never shown and she never mentioned these visions in the context of the show, which seemed yet another bizarre choice by Chibnall.

Square-nosed gun. Not squareness gun. You pick up a lot more of the details when you watch with subtitles turned on. Furthermore, since both the Vortex Manipulator and Jack's sonic blaster originated in the 51st century, it is entirely possible that River acquired both of them in that century. Isn't it?

Wait, we don't need to explain how River has a squareness gun. Ok, maybe it's the same one Jack left, but also maybe it's just another squareness gun. At no point did we think that either of the guns Jack or River use are unique magical items. We could all have squareness guns once we've travelled to the future point that produces them.

Tecteun was the greates lier of them all - she did not explore the universe at all, but was a lowly technician cleaning up bugs and hiccups inside the Matrix - there she found an entity who had manifested inside the stored data and was looking just like a helpless child. She extracted said child and claimed it as her own. The special features of this matrix-born child pushed the Gallifreyan evolution from Space Lord to Time Lord! Later the Time Lords banished this immortal child back into the Matrix, but used the data it consisted of, to enhance loomed Time Tods: If they now mix up with biological reproduction the percentage of "TLC energy" might surpass save levels and create roughe Time Lords like the Doctor an all hisfriends from the Academie

Nanogenes were introduced in Jack’s first story, so my theory was that River and Jack were the same person at different stages in their lives. Both lived in the 51st century, had shared tech, among other parallels. Had the Doctor stuck around longer in The Library, she would have woken up and escaped the Vashta Nerada with her vortex manipulator. Add in HoRS, where she says she has used nanogenes to keep herself looking young for 200 years.
Too bad that Kovarian nonsense erased that theory.
