the pain in the voice sets the mood of the song. The pain of when doves cry, being a symbol of Peace

The video version is cool, but the album version not only features a great guitar solo, but very passionate vocals that YOU should appreciate.

Prince said he preferred to sing in his falsetto voice because singing in his lower register wasn’t comfortable for him.

I’d love to see your reaction to Prince’s song “Solo.” It’s almost all a capella and captures a pretty wide vocal range. Doesn’t quite get the highest pitches recorded, but it’s definitely some of the lowest. Prince had a 5 1/2 octave vocal range. Prince said he loved the female voice doing ballads, so he sang in his upper register for a lot of slow songs. But he had a really deep speaking voice and was also comfortable singing in that range. The deep voice you’re hearing throughout this song is pretty close to his natural speaking voice.

Prince had a large vocal range. His speaking voice is pretty deep and raspy. He’s the best ever. You should check out live performances. They are spectacular. I recommend anything from the Syracuse show from the Purple Rain tour. Purple Rain, in particular, is amazing. For vocals, I recommend Nothing Compares 2 U from the Glam Slam concert. Another great vocal performance (out of sooo many) is I Love U but I Don’t Trust U Anymore from the Nokia Theater (Lotusflow3r show). I have many more recommendations, but I’ll leave it at that for now.

Prince beat Mozart, he mastered over 14 instruments by age 17, he could dance, sing any note, rap, he wrote, arranged, performed ALL his music, including wrote hits for other artists, he has covered almost every genre, Metal, Punk rock, hip hop, pop, r&b, soul, jazz, blues, country, ambience, classical, techno, house, disco, instrumental. The Multi-Genre God. He could play anything, and your favorite artists have been deeply influenced by him. Corey Taylor, Whitney Houston, Steve Vai, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Lil uzi vert, H.E.R. , Paul Mccartney, all worship Prince to just name a few.
Prince recorded his first 2 albums at 16 all by himself, all instruments, lyrics, arrangement, composition & vocals were all by him. He was such a prodigy, that music executives wanted proof, they would fly across country just to see if he could really play all instruments, because it was so unheard of. Prince has over 50 official released albums and when he passed, they found over 10 thousand unreleased Prince music in his vault. He then came into the business and was the FIRST to fight for artists rights, and he WON. He would write "slave" on his cheek and go to meetings protesting against the industry. Prince was also the first artist to sell his music on the internet. You are talking about the most talented artist we will ever see.

Cool reaction. You should react to the full extended video version of "When Doves Cry" to get the full effect of his layered vocals (all Prince, btw, along with the production and instruments) and killer guitar and keyboard solos. That's the version featured on the Purple Rain album. Prince was a MONSTER in and out the studio.

Yeah it would be very cool if you'd do more Prince, like: "Adore" or "International Lover" or "Insatiable" or the full album versions of "Little Red Corvette" or "Do Me Baby". Then you will have a much better understanding what he could do with his amazing voice. ❤

I noticed a couple people put their dimash comments here like me because after 5,000 in 3 days, It might be hard to read all those. Two of us today thought you would read this one because I'm sure these commenters loved your SOS reaction Right at the top like mine.
This is my Dimash post I'm posting here. Lol. I guess I felt it was important. Lol #2. I guess I'm hoping for a response too.
Are Vitas with Opera 2 still the next video or are you thinking of Stranger or Olympico and Sinful Passion as possible too?
Is there a schedule date for Dimash return?
    Here's what I posted.
Prince is a pretty eclectic song creator character and after wondering why he does a few things, I think most of us gave up trying to figure him out. He was an extreme trendsetter and obviously felt comfortable in his skin performing in public and Prince's outfits and his music was grooving. ❤ (He had almost like a cult.)
Can you tell me please, when you are going to experience Dimash again? Is it going to be Opera 2 and Vitas as you mentioned?
Olympico and Stranger and Sinful Passion Will do more goosebumping and jaw-dropping too for you. I left a nice comment on your SOS Dimash video about a half hour ago, but since you have 5000 plus comments, You may not find or read my comments on SOS since they shot up 2000 more in just the last hour. I've been listening to that song (SOS) for last 3 years everyday to his SOS reactions. Today's my day for my NEW favorite DIMASHIFIED reactioner. Congratulations and thank you.

Hi there! Yes I am delightfully overwhelmed at the amount of comments at the moment! Thank you for watching!
To answer your questions, I am not sure which song I will do next, but those are definitely on my list! Maybe I will do a poll with the top Dimash suggestions?
But, I can say I will absolutely be listening to more from him! And SOON!
I also agree about Prince, his being comfortable in his own skin is what makes him so compelling to watch, in my opinion.
I hope to answer all these questions more thoroughly in a Questions and Comments video, currently in the works!
Thank you so much for watching and your great comments!!

TLDR: As an opera singer I hope you get to hear the full version of the song.
it's almost disappointing to hear just the shorter, radio-version - - it just sounds so unfinished to me - incomplete. There's another full 1/3 of the song to go - which wraps it up perfectly. And that section has No-Lyrics. Just complete ad-lib vocals. Not sure what the term is, where a singer is just doing things with their voice. It's quite amazing. Even if you might not like it, it would be interesting to hear a specialized singers POV on it.
[p.s., reminds me of another Prince reaction done by an actual fashion model. She reacted to 'Kiss' and it was fascinating to hear how she was really able to consider key things like: the Hair, Clothing, makeup, even the physique. in ways a 'normal' or traditional Reactor wouldn't. Like when you hear a Producer, or Guitarist do a reaction. Totally new insight. ]

Interesting that you were put off by Prince's voice when that's one of a plethora of talents he's known for. The guy sang in 4 1/2 octaves and was number 15 or 16 on Rolling Stones list of greatest vocalists ever. Hes known as a modern day Mozart. This was one of Prince's biggest hits. When Doves Cry was the most popular song of 1984 and his album Purple Rain was the best selling of 1984. Also not everyone is into funk/rock/dance music and Prince is his own genre.

      @gooblereacts  Před 3 měsíci +1

Yeah, I'm not sure why the low voice doesn't hit my ear in the best way. But I love his higher vocals, outfits, dancing, and he is really fun to watch!

If you're mainly into vocals I'd check out "Cream Live at Webster Hall". This one highlights his vocals, guitar skills and general sexiness and the interaction he has with the audience is priceless
If you think you might want to take a deeper dive into his massive catalog of work I would not start out where you are in his career. I'd definitely begin earlier in his career and go back to the early 80's. Starting at the beginning just makes sense because Prince had over 35 albums and it's fascinating to see him evolve

I watched your reaction to Ed Sheeran. Check "Make It Rain" by Foy Vance - actually, he created this song.
