I hooked mine up, and run each manually from two toggle switches. They just run high speed, when they are on. Usually I just need to run one fan to keep it cool.

The OFF temperature must be higher than your thermostat temperature. If not the fan will be pulling air through a radiator that is not even flowing coolant. It will also prevent wasting fan energy as you roll down the highway with air flowing through the grill.

Yes that is a good thing to note for those running thermostats (most everyone). I don’t run a thermostat in my car though

This seems ideal. How is it running now?

Been working well. I have a 175 and 200 degree switches. Only time it gets to 200, it’s nearing 100 degrees outside.

@@clinteg what's your engine combo? And when it hits the 200, does it cool down ok? I live in southwest AZ and our summers are brutal! 110+ degree summer is normal. I have a mildly built ford 393w and plan on running AC. Do you think these fans are up to the task?

Those relays are bad news over time. The contacts will melt or burn out from the starting current. Take a look at Pulse Width Modulated controllers from The Auto Cool Guy. We have 55 amps to 200 amp controllers. They all carry a year warranty using modern solid state technology. www.autocoolguy.com
