@@ruthietaylor8756it would take more than 6 thousand years for that coffin to decompose. And we know how sturdy they make coffin now a days. Just yesterday I found a nice treasure chest from pirates in my back yard and every thing in there was in tact 😌
Then why do caskets get designed to perfect seal humans from the outside world? There’s no nature touching the inside of that casket for hundreds of years. With ash you can incorporate it into fertilizer and truly become apart of nature again. You’ve got it all wrong my friend.
If you burry in a casket the body doesn’t go anywhere. It just rots in the box.
True
Eventually it goes back to nature

Thats so good Rabbi. Thats why we have to live a righteous life. so the seed decomposes. It becomes part of the vegetation cycle. ❤❤❤
CAN GOD BRING THE BODY BACK TOGETHER
Same reason Christians do not cremate bodies - resurrection
so will the ash fertilize
A cremated body goes back to nature. A casket keeps the body from breaking down. Some can’t even afford to be buried.
Sorry but I do enjoy Jewish philosophy

Maybe in the past 100 years, but historically it was just a box that would also decay. It’s the principal of it
Orthodox Judaism's burial practices are very simple. One gets buried in a shroud. At most, in a simple pine box that will decompose quickly.
I would actually love to be buried without a casket under a manzanita or an oak tree for the same reasons why I wouldn’t mind cremation
Please don’t cremate
It’s not good for the soul
We came from the soil and we must return to it
Much love
There are a lot more options today than ever before to do "green" burials, some with a biodegradable casket
Ash also goes back to the nature cycle, why the fuck am I seeing this?
No wonder Jews love horror movies so much.
Stupid!!!
