Hahaha yes! He looks so good! I'm glad you found my lore page, it took a lot of work to get there. Now, in honour of this, I'm gonna write up some lore for a Minotaur that got captured and possessed into joining the Serpentine Truth. Thank you so much man, I'm so happy right now

I thank you for your great sacrifice for using Phobos, Lich! Wonderful job and I understand the "difficutly" in lack of special bits for them. I personally add only grav chutes on my dudes, and sporadic beakies on stuff like Eliminators and Jump Pack Intercessors.

My dude looks amazing! This is way better than anything I was expecting! The symbol is actually exactly what I had in mind: I deliberately wanted something that could be doodled easily. Something in my own skill range, yknow? I absolutely love what you did with my warband. It really gives me some great ideas for kitbashing an direction when actually making them myself. Been a fan for quite a bit now and this was just such an awesome opportunity. I also love all of the other winners' subfactions, hope to see more of them in the future. I can't wait to see what others are picked going forward!

Hope to see you do this again sometime, I just got into building miniatures and Ive had this idea for a homebrew of sorts of a Mesoamerican themed legion that borrows elements from Alpha legion and thousand sons. So it would be cool to see an interpretation of that.
I found dudes printing bits for Macuahuitl chain swords and feathered pauldrons and backwards, but Im still learning the basics of this stuff.
I'll definitely be doing this again at some point in the near future, friend. I've seen a few ideas loosely along what you're thinking so I'd love the opportunity to make something of your vision!
Odd, I wouldn't have expected that chaos marines would be overrepresented in this one.
I myself never quite clicked with space marines as a whole, but people obviously like em.
Also a shame that there was only one Xeno here, necrons are so great for kitbashing.
But that's enough negativity for one day, all conversions came out glorious!
I'm sure the winners are very happy about their forces being represented in this one.
This competition really made me realize how bad I am at Necron kitbashing so I'm hoping to get some more practice in with them at some point. Plus like, actually HAVING the bits would help too. Still haven't found that bag of gauss reapers... 😤

This is a pretty cool culmination of your audience’s support for you and your growth as a channel. If you’re doing more “Your Dudes” competitions are we allowed to repost if we didn’t get picked in a previous poll?” Also, diet eons of battle is wild man, totally different styles of content though.
Of course mate! And yeah, different styles lol. You can tell Jay and Nick have been running that channel for years though. They've got their production cycle on POINT. Hope to get to that point one day

I really hope to see a second edition of this series, there is a chapter that is super special to myself and my friends on the Salamanders 40k discord, although it was primarily my own project, nearly 20 people had a hand in making the Star Golems chapter in our group and everyone who helped got immortalized as a named character. Even if the Golems never make it to your channel id be happy with just knowing you gave their article a skim over, or the lore videos that Grimdark Narrator did for me a listen ❤
I see the Star Golems are pretty popular then 👀 YOUR DUDES 2 is guaranteed at this point so I hope to see you and your fellow Sons of Vulkan there in the blood pits 😁

THE CUSTOM ROBO OST?? A man of culture
I love the Custom Robo ost! Used to play Ray 01 with the Dragon Gun and Swift with the Shotgun/Knuckle, but as I got older I discovered the superiority of Breaker with a Sniper or Eagle gun 😈

As for the paints I had to mix the creamish color, some combination of Vallejo Brown, Yellow, and White, but the gun was Vallejo Black Grey and the energy is based around Vallejo Royal Purple.

I think marble white is a missed opportunity to do the old forgeworld stretched dry wetwhipes for the marbled effect.
I do something similar on my Chaos Marine bases but yeah, that'd be cool to see on armor. Will have to try it out one day
I feel like the karnivore if you flattened the noodles with t hat paint scheme could make like a cool of feathers, almost like a raven cloak.

I got a custom chapter call the Zealots of Ardor, imma write up some lore here, although ik you probs get it all the time, i just love sharing.
The Zealots of Ardor originated from the planet Ardor, in which a huge ork infestation grew, this nearly whipped out all humans on the planet, but before they could a huge astra millitarum force arrived. Sadly only five living men were found, Ardor and his gladiators.
Ardo and his Gladiators was conscripted into the astra millitarum and over a few years they went through the ranks, and soon became a experimental batch of primaris.
Although just Ardor became primaris, there experimental nature is vivid in the chapter. They were first placed into the dark angels, but there hatred for orks and much stronger blood lust (due to there strange gene seed) meant they stuck out. The dark angels hated this and made Ardor there own chapter, in which Ardor brought in marines of a similair background, all blood thirst, and all from worlds nearly killed.
The Zealots have a blacky brown armer, but there arms are painted a khaki, the right shoulder (from model perspective) is red and the left is blue, there helmets are also the same blue as there shoulder. They are known for wearing the ork skulls and teeth to basically annoy the orks.
I just found the channel today and I think I’m gonna stay for a good long while

There's a way to do fur where you put on the greenstuff in a thick layer, and then use small scissors to cut and lift raised wedge shapes. I saw it over on Tabletop Time's videos on making their Space Bears homebrew chapter.
I normally do something similar with my clippers but some finer point scissors are one of those things I've been meaning to get specifically for fur sculpting

I went with a heretic loyalist chapter called The Warp Knights that I found on a wiki somewhere years ago. Burgundy and Gold colors with a "stylized drop pod" as their symbol. Freehanded it and it ended up looking like a flaming middle finger on the pauldron. I just went with it at that point.

My main army is jotunnheim votann with blue and dark blue armour with red accents including shoulders. And my second is a glamrock noise marine.
Might be the only person I've heard of with the army combination of Votann and Slaanesh Marines 🤔

Basically, SM of 21st Founding with a hyperactive omophage that severves me as a excuse to kitbash every primaris design I hate (for example, I green stuffed shin armor on phobos legs and gave them Deathwatch/DA weapons and bits)

I know it's too late now but l feel like a great way you could have painted that winged, screaming snake symbol would have been to simply ripp off the lllrd legion's eagle but with a snake face and a small tail in place of the claw holding the gem. Since l assume they are an emperor's children sucessor chapter it would seem about right.

I really gotta know, how did you make the nails for the backpack skulls on the last model ???
I cut the ends off of small 2" head pins that are normally used for making bead links. I found a bag of about 300 of them in Walmart's jewelry crafting section for a pretty negligible sum, a few bucks. Best part is that after you cut the nail-looking part off the end, you're still left with a bunch of the pin that you can use for pinning.

hey, sorry if this has already been asked, i couldn't find it in the comments, what paint did you use for the cream colour on the necron? it looks like it has pretty good coverage and i've been struggling to find something that covers decently in that category.
Hey chief, I couldn'd find the exact paint mix in my notes but I remember adding a flat brown and flat yellow to Vallejo Sky Grey (70989) to some degree. Honestly Vallejo Sky Grey is a miracle paint, obscenely good coverage for a light grey and perfect to put on a dark spot before you layer up to bright colors. I don't really have a good tan paint either so I usually have to mix something to get by but I hope that helps out at least a little
