    I am looking towards simulation of circular microchannel and i created the geometry and mesh in micrometeres. Now in Fluent solver, micrometers units is not there and now will i have to put scaling factors and then scale or if mesh and geometry are already in microcmeters,Fluent directly keeps the domain extents in 10^-6. So what should i do? If already in domain extents by keeping the units metre, its already in value of 10^-6, do i need to scale again or leave and continue?
    It is also showing solution is converged? Is it sue to the small dimension? Please give me idea.

    In the problem statement you have pipe, why you use rectangle shape?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  Před 3 lety

      It's the 2D axisymmetric geometry of the pipe.

    • @taughtmesurah7554

      Ansys-Tutor Thank you for your reply, but the geometry that you draw is rectangular pipe? Can you explain more this point?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  Před 3 lety

      I think you have skipped the part of the tutorial where I had selected one wall as Axis. and selected the Axisymmetric analysis. In 2D geometry we generally create the half section of the part which is the rectangle.

    • @taughtmesurah7554
      @taughtmesurah7554 Před 3 lety

      Ansys-Tutor But the half section of the pipe need (r,theta) ? You draw the rectangle using (x,y)! In another tutorial when you for 3D pipe you used circle to create shape

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  Před 3 lety

      You cant find the option to draw using r, theta in ansys , only there is Cartesian coordinate in ansys design modeler. The model gets converted to polar coordinates in fluent whenever you select a Axisymmetric solver type.
