I’m so with you - I love videos like this, and I pretty much always have them on in the background! I was building an IKEA drawer while I watched this one 😆. I really loved hearing your thought process as you worked through this painting, and it’s so fun to see how you play with color. I have also never used a filbert brush, so now I’m inspired to try one out! Thanks for sharing!

This may be controversial but I liked your first pallet page after you almost finished the painting as a abstract piece of art. The way the colours were mixed on the pallet looked interesting. Beautiful painting too of the peonies.

Love this! Also, curious to know more about how you got into surface design! I finished college last year with a degree in graphic design and have done traditional art my whole life. Struggling to find job opportunities. Would love to know some tips or a bit of how you got started! Maybe you could do a video on this! Could help lots of people I think.
I could definitely do a whole video on this topic because I also only focused on traditional art as I was growing my business. To give you a quick answer though, i slowly stepped into the world of surface design by sharing my work online and different brands and companies would reach out for commissioned pattern work. It was a slow progression but all of the work I have now was a result of sharing my artwork and journey on Instagram over the last ten years 😊
