Should You Buy a PRE-PAINTED eBay Bumper?

- In this video I give buying another pre-painted eBay bumper a shot. I've purchased pre-painted parts in the bast from this seller and received parts with a decent paint match with questionable paint quality, however If you're on a budget, then this can be a very affordable option!

just a thought, maybe the bumper is actually the correct oem color but the rest of the vehicle's paint is faded from age. that could be why the bumper color looks like a darker red than the rest of the car
That is totally possible! However there are many paint codes and usually the horizontal surfaces don't take as much of a beating as a hood or something. But the customer ended up being happy in the end. He's dropping it off today for a check engine light lol
It’s very small contaminants that are imbedded into the old paint. Clay bar and polish should bring the color back to life

OEM paint codes have a couple different variances depending on what Factory they came out of. But nonetheless it doesn't really match but it's a complete vehicle now, you saved him a bunch of money hopefully he'll be cool with it.

The paint is fine the car needs a detail brother that happened to me and I just detail my car and match the paint 95%
Yeah I feel you man there are cases where cars just need a buff but this was a little beyond that haha. I did do a little buffing and didn't have much success. Glad it worked out for you tho

It sure did! I was scared that it wouldn't take then proper shape but it did

@@johndough2624 Unfolding it worked out very well, but there were actually a few dings from shipping. I reached out to their customer support. They were very helpful. They actually refunded half of the cost of the bumper, and i used the money to buy touch up paint.
