#2. Fluid Art Galaxy Painting Creation Video - Look! It's the Crab Nebula!

  • This is my interpretation of the Crab Nebula using fluid art as the painting technique. The Crab Nebula was the first astronomical object recognized as being connected to a supernova explosion and it's in the constellation of Taurus. The reason it's called this comes from a drawing that somewhat resembled a crab with arms produced by William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, in 1842 or 1843 using a 36-inch telescope. I think my 14" x 14" painting looks like a crab as well! Let me know what you think.
