- The passenger compartment of the RAV4 remained stable in the frontal offset test. Dummy readings indicated good protection of the knees and femurs of the driver and passenger. Toyota showed that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of different sizes and to those sitting in different positions. In the full-width rigid barrier test, protection of critical body areas was good or adequate for both the driver and rear passenger. In the side barrier test, dummy readings indicated good protection of all critical body areas.
The same was true of the more severe side pole test, but the curtain airbag caught on part of the interior trim and was judged not to have deployed correctly. As a result, protection of the head was down-graded from good to adequate in both the side impact tests. Tests on the front seats and head restraints demonstrated good protection against whiplash injury in the event of rear-end collision. A geometric assessment of the rear seats also indicated good whiplash protection. The standard-fit autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system scored full points
in tests of its functionality at low speeds, typical of city driving, with collisions avoided in all scenarios.

I kinda lost it when the pedestrian head impact was tested 🤣🤣 reminds me of the Onion’s neck belt scene.
No RAV4s were harmed in the making of this video
Haha! A LOT of RAV4’s had a short life for this video 🥺
Why? Why would you lie to me, about something I can easily figure out within a few minutes?! 😡
The pedestrian thing is cool but I wanna see it happen irl. Does it actually work or no?
Is it bad that I lost it when the dude’s legs went flying ?
Why is the dummy taller than the car?
I was thinking the same....does this test only work on giants 😊😏 or does it detect normal sized humans too
@@Onkarr or children in a driveway
2019 Rav 4 doesn't have auto brakes....correct me if I am wrong please. I have 2019 and 2021 xle and both have no auto braking system here in Canada. The website info says all 2022 and onwards has auto stopping. 🤔
Mine does, it’s just the lane assist and Toyota safety sense 2
Look it up on Google, may not be all models
It does, I've a XLE trim
I dont think mine is working
Mr. T yup all the time
What did you test with?
