    Synopsis:
In modern dating, Katie and Cory experience watching TV together, sexual tension, Hollywood whitewashing, foodie photography, the ways of the ninja, and more -- all while dividing their attention between their screens and each other.
    Director’s Statement:
We're all guilty of this -- we spend more time looking at our screens than into each other's eyes. This is a story about us and our human connection. It's inspired by my life experiences and Steven Spielberg's recent Harvard commencement speech. In my film, it's also hugely important to note that all the women are strong, the Asian men good-looking, and the rest diverse. I hope you like it.
And in the words of JJ Abrams at Comic-Con, "GO ASIANS!"
    Director’s Bio:
Before Better Luck Tomorrow hit the festivals, I became inspired to be a filmmaker when my AP English teacher taught us that film could be an intellectual & artistic literary medium. So I studied film, television & new media at UC Santa Barbara. I interned for Fox Diversity, volunteered at the Asian-American film festivals, joined CAPE, worked in the NBCUniversal Page Program, became a Writer’s P.A. on NBC’s Allegiance, and an Office P.A. on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. Inspired by Justin Lin, JJ Abrams, Wong Kar Wai, and others, I continue to hone my craft as a writer and filmmaker.
