I'm not using the new game plus weapons solely because I haven't upgraded them yet but I would still coil each weapons counter part the same. Coils you don't have to hunt machines for them in HFW, you can buy them from hunter merchants. Specific merchants sell the coils, generally the coil locations are catalogued on the internet so you can easily locate them.
