When compared to having your eyes gouged out, or your heels chopped off, getting pitch(tar) poured over your head seems almost tame
well yeah still having eyes and heels is nice, but the moment the tar is still burning hot you probably think otherwise! :D
Remember that Pitch is super sticky and will colour everything it touches black, she will never again be able to wear any clothes anyone would want to touch, not to metnion touching her selve. She will be a social outcast for live and most likeley unable to work.
Fun fact, the german word for pitch Pech, ist also the german word for bad luck.

Hey, das ist ein Teil unserer deutschen Kultur! Ich find es aber interessant dass ihr die Geschichten verstörend findet, weil wir mit denen aufwachsen.
Nostalgia. My grandmother used this fairy tale as a bedtime story (but a less dark version). When the story was done my grandmother would conclude with 'En toen kwam er een varkentje met een lange snuit, en het verhaaltje is uit'. (rougly translates to 'And then a little pig with a long snout came along and thus has the story concluded', but in Dutch it rhymes so I can't really think of a proper translation)
How about, "And along came the shoat with his large piggy nose, and thus this tale must now close"?

Kiara’s German is just so...soft sounding. I love hearing her. Feel like I could drift off to sleep to the sound of her voice.

If I had smaller kids by now/will have small kids in the future I could see myself showing them these videos.
Just like I had them on an old cassette, they would then have the modern quivalent with CZcams videos. (Hopefully) listening to them for hours on end while playing with toys, drawing etc.

A lot of people don't realize just how soft and gentle the German language can be, so I love these videos not only for the stories, but also because they highlight how beautiful German is.

Wahrscheinlich nicht, das würde die anderen zu Tode erschrecken (Kind vom Hund gebissen, abgefackelt, ausgehungert, vom Wind fortgetragen, etc.).
Max und Moritz wäre auch ganz nett (und ist wohl das erste ausländische Buch was in Japan veröffentlicht wurde)

@@3lloGuvner at the left. Thats EnMa-chan (short for En Manager) ... basically the stream manager of the EN branch. She become a sort of a badass figure on the community when Ina , Gura and Amelia were playing L4D2 ... and to fill the gap they made Enma fill the 4th spot. Eventually people agree to make her play ... for suprice of all Enma was really skilled on L4D2 ... and the moments who seals the deal was when the girls amost get steamrolled by a Tank , before Enma with just 10 of HP went against the Tank armed with only a katana and manage to win. It was a highlight moment to the point who they make her like A-chan, and Ina gives it a desing of how EnMa would looks like (basically a loosen medium hair with black and red , a ahoge in the form of an E , and carring a sort of a long sticked package, and around her neck a staff pass with pins representing the EN girls. But also get a 2nd mode where the hair is tie on a pony tail , glasses off and the package is a Katana in black and red), and people take notice the name EnMa apply for the entire Holomyth theme, since Enma is how is also called the judge of the death in the buddism.

I loved the delivery of this one. I've never heard the story before and it was very enjoyable.
It wasn't bloody or anything so this makes for a better bedtime story while still telling kids to behave.

Ooh I know this story! The Japanese band Sound Horizon once did an album retelling a lot of German fairy tales, and they did one about Mother Holle. It was a pretty upbeat song...if you ignore the darker interpretations put to it
