"Rosa's Love" FF4 Orchestral Remix

- This is a revisit to an older track of mine called "Rosa's Love", being the second Final Fantasy song I ever made an arrangement for. The first was my all time favourite Nobuo Uematsu original, "Into the Darkness" (I'll likely be remastering that one as well!) FF4 had/has an exquisite soundtrack, and even to this day, I am humbled by the genius of Uematsu's work. I hope you like my new cover of Rosa's Theme/Theme of love! :D I put my soul into it!

FFIV will always be a classic. Its music alone is just so powerful and complex.
The story, artwork, and especially music were all perfect. FFIV truly was a masterpiece.
You can really feel Rosa's kind and loving nature through this song. Your arrangement is so pretty!

I could never find anything negative to say about your music other than the fact there simply not enough hours in the day to enjoy it. I love your music. I also love how you stay true to the original melodies yet find places to fill in the gaps and enhance already exceedingly beautiful music. Until today, my favorite version of this song was from Distant Worlds. Your version is my new favorite by a very large margin. You are amazing.
+M Ross Than you so much, Mike! That makes me feel special! :D I saw the Distant Worlds one live twice and it was exquisite! Did you ever hear the Celtic Moon arrangement for this song? That whole album is phenomenal!
All that being said, I find that a lot of the orchestral arrangements of this theme tend to be over the top to the point of being melodramatic, and I think I prefer the original. I tried to preserve its purity/authenticity in this piece, keeping it alive and young, so to speak.
+RebeccaETripp I'm jealous you've been to Distant Worlds! I own Celtic Moon. I do like it a lot. I love the instruments they use. I do agree some orchestral versions do get to be a bit much. I have the remastered OST on my mp3 player. You do Uematsu's music extremely well.
i remember buying this soundtrack at ACEN after the orchestra band for final fantasy visited and played a concert. i look forward to hearing them again
Ah... so sweet. I especially like the way you gently conclude it. You really bring out the balance between personal longing and providing comfort to others that the character conveys. Kudos also to whomever did the fan art. So evocative of a character with such bravery and grace (and it finds a way to convey a bit of sensuality without the frankly ridiculous-looking skimpy poses even the official artwork seems to rely on).

I listened to this and the only thing that could move were my lungs. I was planning on getting new headphones but when I saw you posted this I made it a point today before listening. Some songs are hard to make better than the original because some of the magic gets lost but you made this better and I sincerely thank you for that. You keep making things so wonderful

Nicely based on the remake made for the DS and PSP :) I love the beginning of the track in this version, but I still love the way Maire Breahtnach made it into the GLORIOUS album FF IV Celtic Moon (well, we know this album was BEYOND EPICNESS OVER 9000!!! ^_^ ).
I always remember when I passed first time this AMAZING game, back at 2002-2003 (when I went to my father's house) and with my humble Pentium 133 I got inside the precious music and story made for this game.

The first is half is done great but the second half of the song is my favorite! Really tugs on the heart especially the way the strings end the song.

Beautiful. You really made this track feel so much bigger than the original 16 bit. I bet this is what Nobuo was picturing in his mind while composing the track. This is like a distant worlds concert but with your own personal touch. Always love the emphasis you put on the harp.

I remember when I was 5 or something and my brother and I had this gameboy advance we shared between the two of us (eventually I got my own) and we would play final fantasy IV and I still remember pretty much the whole first half of the game. Up until right before Cecil becomes a paladin because little 5 year old me didnt understand how the game worked properly so I couldnt beat it. Honestly I'm surprised I got that far. Now 11 years later I still remember all the tunes. Thanks for making this!

I will some day, strangely now I have played through other final fantasy games, FFV, FFVI, FFIX etc. I should probably get around to it once exams are done and over with for me. But yes! I definitely will some time!

This may be Rosa's theme but by the time the game came for the SNES I remembered hearing it somewhere else. I think this song is older than that.

A song that reminds me of this one from a very popular anime (Bleach). I've always blended the two melodies in my head for some reason. *Nodding* I definitely see the connection (to Somewhere in Time); right in the beginning, at least. Although, I think this is much more uplifting, ultimately. Whereas, John Barry is more melancholy.
Schweet, the gentle tones and slow pacing help bring out the beauty of the theme. I'm glad you did this one anew, though... The original remix was good as well, but perchance a little too muted.
So, what's up next Kee? Megalovania? Waltz of the Dachshunds? =P Or completely out of the blue: Probotector/Contra Jungle theme? XD I'm stoked though.
