King Charles has just commissioned and approved the issue of his Balmoral Tartan. Now that is one for me. I will be first in line to buy that.
I never knew there was a Starfleet tartan, but I have to say in kind of misses the mark. It has the three colors but is so blue dominant.
Superman Tartan
As a Marine long past active duty, I am NOT a fan of our tartan. I get what the creator tried to do, but it has the wrong coloring for the blue for one, unless they were going for the trousers and even then it looks off. My favorite uniform, despite the Blues being the creme de la creme of all dress uniforms, I always loved our Service Alphas. That uniform always just screams MARINE! I would love to see a tartan that honored our Service Alphas.
I don't find any of the Navy tartans to be GREAT!! There being no official US Navy tartan, Edzell being as close as it gets. I tried my hand at a US Navy tartan in your tartan designer. So far I like it. It tells a story like so many of the more modern tartans. I need more feedback on it to find that it's really horrid. 🙂

+USAKiltsOfficial *Thanks for the designer perspective.* I'd like to collaborate with Clan Carmichael USA to design a marled Hunting Tartan with a narrow fluorescent orange stripe, and two narrow brown stripes flanking a narrow black stripe; execution would go to the lowest bidder among the Scots' wool mills.
